Hello,

I started some control tower production, was going expand it, but won't upcoming changes to moon mining and other structures kill towers? Then I should hold horses with my plans Shocked. Sorry if question sounds noobish and correct me if I am completely wrong.

P.S. Maybe I should ask in industry forum instead, mods feel free to move this thread.

Considering that it's still a better way to go than a citadel or EC I'd say go ahead with your plans if you think you'll see returns before October.

As a former tower producer I'd recommend that you reconsider your plan.

Towers and all their related paraphernalia will be phased out over the coming releases.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

In August, CCP will be removing bonuses from POS assembly arrays, labs and reprocessing arrays. With the winter expansion you will no longer be able to do moon mining or reactions at a POS. There will still be a few use cases - i.e. jump bridges, but this is not a good time to start building POS towers.

I stopped building towers over a year ago.

It takes about a day to build a tower. If you can sell it to a buy order the next day at a profit, then go for it.

If you have to create a sell order, forget it.
