Keepstars are the most powerful structures in EVE. Many Alliances who own one base themselves out from it. So wouldn't it be great if Keepstars could hold 4 or 5 clone slots? I'm sure i'm not the only one who has more than 3 clones that have expensive implants which I choose from depending on what ship i'm flying and want boosts for.

I mean is there a reason why we don't have it? It's not like it makes gameplay broken since you can only be in one clone at any time. It just saves having to have a dozen citadels with clone bays around the keepstar.

Please ccp add this feature. I can't even imagine it being particularly difficult to implement since you can already have 2 clones in citadels.

Instant clone swapping with no cool down is already insanely powerful.
Being able to swap multiple clones from a single station would be insanely overpowered.
There is nothing stopping you from dropping multiple citadels near each other and getting the same utility.

I didn't say anything about changing cool down in instant clone swaps. Thats fine as it is and balances things out (although I think its more there just to reduce server lag).

But how is having 4-5 clones in in keepstar, as opposed to having 4-5 clones in the same system spread across different citadels anywhere near broken?

Because citadels let you swap without the cool down. Multiple citadels at least means you need to invest more heavily in the infrastructure and put more assets in space. It also means needing to undock in order to swap clones without the CD which puts you at risk. Again being a good thing for content.

Like a keepstar isn't a big enough investment? Lol

or maybe I should clarify this should only be available in keepstars and not citadels. Citadels can carry on rolling with 2 clone slots.

Lisa, this guy is either: Horrifically trolling you or has smoked too many doobies to understand the OP.

I don't think its a bad idea. Most alliances base out of their Keepstar or Sotiyo and corps have smaller citadels. It would have no effect on game balance and would be much more convenient since you wouldn't have to warp around system for your PvP clone or mining clone or AFK training clone, etc...

Sounds like a resonable idea to me if someone/alliance is going to spend the isk on a keepstar the benefits of swapping instant clones in the same station seem decent to me,and as far as i can tell there shouldn't be any op mechanics with instant clone swaps as long as its limited to the same station swap as it is currently.
