its not an event as such

the sotiyo is out there now, but as yet, i dont think its been found

when it is found and killed another will spawn somewhere else and this will carry on- its not a one off thing

the destroyed sotiyo has a chance of dropping capital bpcs

oh i thought it was gonna be like the other events ccp made in past were random beacons show up.

I'm pretty sure there are channels you can join that will multiply many times the chance of finding it than you'd have solo. Needles are easier to find when you are part of a group.

Find one, have fun, and maybe make new friends.

I don't think it's eve making the friends unlikely.

This post brought to you by CCP's alpha forum alt initiative. Playing the eve forums has never come cheaper.

... except that you need big organized fleet somewhere in 0.0(?) to run this. Which will invite lots of 'friends' for free killmails.
And then someone steals BPC and you can do nothing about it Pirate

It's, really, a group PVE experience. Which is something people have been asking for.

Yet, another group PVE, leaving those who don't want to do group things out in the cold, again.

Oh, wait, we can still run missions; we can mine; we can explore; we can do Guritas hide outs; and other things that are getting old.

Some players don't have the time to spend getting into a fleet for a lengthy battle. Some players don't want to join a corp, because you end up playing their game. Once in a while, there's an event for singles to claim some worthless ship skins. Doing that was actually a waste of time. It all can get boring and repetitive, but that's what us solo players have. And personally I'd rather have that than join a group or a corp. But EVE wants us in groups and corps, thinking we'll play the game longer. We start to play EVE, and then find out we have to belong somewhere to have fun. We should get an equal amount of fun by playing solo.

Sorry, I will stop. This has been hashed out many times, so there will be the same old pros and cons.

Hmm, what percentage of group players quit EVE compared to the percentage of single players?

Agree or disagree; play or don't play; whatever anyone wants to do is up to them.

I'm just saying.

As far as i know people asked for small-to-medium group level PVE not for alliance level. Big and long CTAs fun for noone.

As i said in other thread i do not expect these to be very popular. We will see for sure.

mainly hoping this is a proof of concept stress test for more stuff to come in the future. And yea I'm guessing it gets run about 10 times or so before the novelty wears off, and maybe a few more till the faction titan market is saturated which probably won't take too long.

Big smile Oh, no. I am not quitting. I actually like EVE. I am just limited in the time I can spend playing a game. So, I am limited on what I can do, and because of that, I am a solo player.

A little mining, some L2 and L3 missions, yup, I don't have much.

What CCP says: We're going to give tools for content providers to provide more content!
What CCP means: We're going to give the most stuff to the people who need it the least. Screw everyone else. Institutionalized stagnation baby!

This is a waste of a feature. You can either ignore it, or set up a spy network to steal the BPCs. Otherwise, you're not invited.

Now their justification was "but this will give us tools to give everybody stuff!" Just like the justification for epic arcs and incursions, plus multiple revamps of the mission authoring system that were touted as release feature yet somehow never ended up with anything.

Maxim 6. If violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

Its spawned already. No one so far has had the guts or power to take it on

Edit: this is end game PVE for big player groups. Not everything in eve should be doable for a solo highsec carebear
