So there's a link on the login app saying, Hey there's new skins and gear for sale. But I click that link and it just has a text description of the package contents. It sure would be great if it showed pictures, prices, etc on that webpage.

You can view the skin of any ship in game by going to its info-screen. Then click the picture of the ship. A new window should appear with the ship previewed in space. To the left (might have an arrow-tab [<<]) is the skin selector, which lets you preview any skin.

You can see those images in New Eden Store and there are even 3d models of them, skinned. Only NES is available in game.
