yo

im kinda new to EVE but i think i learned the basics and what not so im asking this:
is there a list of currently active 'Pirate' themed fleets/corps i can hang out with ? (and is OK with newfriends like me)
(ingame searched pop'd up a lot hits but i cant figure out who should i take up contact with)

alone i feel like using my platinum insurances quite regulary ! :D

my fav ship is the T1 Rifter atm:
1x auto turret
2x 125mm turret
1x small missile

+afterburner
+repair

think i fly this ships to it's limit even tho i was not too succesfull so far vs player targets :)


tl;dr: looking for newfriendly "pirate" lowsec pvp fleets to hang out with and shoot up others :D

p.s.: and thx for in ingame dudes who already help'd me A LOT, i wrote down their advices and will try what they told as soon as i get home to my battlestation

Don't know if there are any other types of fleets in lowsec. Contact the ones willing to teach a newbie.

Off to a good start. Look around bit and you will find that the Rifter at one time was "THE" pirate frigate and there are a few good "pirate guides" (though outdated) with frigates. Changes over time have give it some competition of course.

In the tone of TB's post, you might try the recruitment channels for further yarr.... but if you are lacking time for corp involvement, you might then consider Spectre Fleet. They do more public fleets and roams and you can find yourself in nullsec one day and lowsec the rest. There you will meet other players who want the pew pew and from there you can network and eventually find a home in a PVP oriented corp.

Personally I prefer a more traditional approach to piracy, heavily leaning towards camping.
