i was just browsing the contracts and found one for a buyout of 4 million.
it consisted of a drake blueprint-copy -14 runs and a merlin blueprint-copy-14 runs
so when i clicked on view market details of the drake blueprint a buyer popped up willing to pay 300,000,000,00 isk

now my question is does the market distinguish between copys and originals? if i had purchased this contract for 4 million isk could i have sold the drake blueprint copy for the 300,000,000.00

the buyers ad did not specify he was buying a copy.

hence my confussion lol
thanks

there are no copies on the market.

thus when you used market details on the copy in the contract, you got the market orders for originals.

// edit: if you used 'show info' in the market interface, you would also see that the buy and sell orders are for originals. but it's legit question and you were smart to ask.

i just locked an open door.. strange, yet symbolically compelling.

Every blueprint on the market is for unresearched, unused original prints.

Any researched prints or blueprint copies are found on contracts. These are not the same thing.

That 300 mil is actually below the real market value of a Drake BPO. BPOs are sold by NPC corporations at set prices and Drake BPO is, I believe, 342million ISK from NPCs.

BPCs are worth a fraction of a BPO because they cannot be used to make further copies or to manufacture any more of the ship than what there are copies remaining on the BPC.

So... if you want to build a few drakes, such a BPC is a way to do it without investing hundreds of million on a BPO. On the other hand, if you want to start building drakes like mad (or to start making copies of Drake blueprints for sale), then you'd need a BPO.
