Help[ with instant overheat

For some reason starting today every module every fitting on my ship now instantly overheats, I can not play the game, does anyone know how to fix this

You can lock the overheat to off. Tab on right of capacitor.
Click on stop overloading rack and then on lock overheat status
Are you pressing shift when engaging modules?

Any fitted modules instantly overheat even in simulation mode. I dont understand why this started happening, I have repaired all ships all fittings, swapped ships, swapped fittings, and nothing is working

Clear your cache. Hit ESC, go into the reset settings -tab and press "clear all cache files"

did you bind some overheat button to a more commonly used button? or is the overheat button stuck? The whole thing just sounds really weird, I kinda want to see some video or something.
