Legion Active tank in C3 WH

First question is: How much DPS tankability Legion needs to comfortably tank C3 sites?

This fit gives 664HP/S tankability and is capstable. However the DPS is terrible: 360 with Conflagration and just 280 with Scorch.

PS: Here proteus has 690HP/S and ppl say that this is an overkill http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/56989-CAT-3-Proteus-Sleeper-Workhorse.html

If you're gonna fly a Legion in a C3 you need to pimp it a bit.
I used to run with a Cenium A typer repper and some faction hardeners. That way I could fit proper heatsinks, web and tracking computer alongside the AB. It murdered frigates so nicely :D
With a single repper you'll have more grid spare, so you can use a Large Cap Battery instead of a cap recharger - works a lot better. More total cap and better regen.

The first legion fit you can google for wormholes has a video to how he solo's the c3 sites. some c3 sites are harder now, but the same basic principle still applies: We are Legion

Look for Riotrick's legion fit. It's where I started, I'm at level 4 for most skills and can solo the easier sites (barely) in a c3, I have to partner up with a friend for the others, but that's because I'm bad with the whole sig tanking thing (and moving sideways).

Best of luck! o/

Not sure of your skills, but HAM legions can get a fairly good DPS while leaving your cap to be solely for your tank. I dual rep, its not perfect, but I can solo the Anoms, and handle the Radars and Mags long enough to get the cans open. Don't try to clear them though, unless you have friends. If you are living in a WH, then you'll want to clear the other sites, but if you are just popping in, then killing everything isn't a necessity.

You don't ever want 3xMAR. Instead improve your resists, and remember dps is a form of tank.

You don't need a pimped fit, but it really helps with DPS and maybe squeezing a probe launcher on.

I used something like this for C3s pre- and post-neut change. The cap booster isn't needed, just there in case you get neuted dry.

The DPS increased to 350 with Scorch and 435 with IN MF. Funny fact that IN MF actually deals more damage than Conflagration as it's less likely to miss. Add a lesser crystal damage per shot and it's a pure win over Conflagration. As for the Scorch it's funny how it deals almost full damage to Sleeper BC/BS even at 18km despite the 30km+4.8km stats.

Tank handles pretty well. The only problem is when you're targeted by 2-4 Argos sentries, webed and neuted. But I just bookmark some object close to Argos and re-warp below their tracking.

Thinking on purchasing IN Heat Sinks and DED MARs.

Thx to everyone! :)
