Takeing a drink of the drink he raised in the toast Muri Notices the slippery looking Amarrian seemingly dissaper into the shadows. Shaking his head he mutters as he takes his glass to clean it "Always are a strange lot those Amarrians".

Turning around Muri goes back to tthe bar and looks around noticeing a new patron come into the bar and look around him. Muri calls over "Welcome to the Outer Rim watering hole friend. What can I get you to drink?" As he leans on the bar his arm starts to seize once more. Groumbleing he starts to slap the arm muttering "Dam arm doing this to me again" till it started to work once more

As the shadows lengthened, brighter things shined. Matty swayed and engaged after putting her drink down, never looking for more than a second into the many eyes that looked at her. Her master had made his exit, as she eventually did too with the nearest strong-arm. The circle was complete, what was sundered and undone had been made whole. Two had become one.

Noticing a few frustrated (and inebriated) looking patrons, Matty turned and curtsied, saying:

"I will miss your face and stolen gaze tonight".

Let us just say, quietly of course, that the reputation of this establishment, "The Outer Rim Watering Hole", had preceded it. I made sure to cut some time from my own schedule to come by and see if this truly was a location that offered a quiet and carefully maintained neutral setting for capsuleers. Word had it, that the owner enforced a very tight set of rules, and welcomed all business, but allowed no open political or faith based conflicts or fighting on premises... if you wanted that, it was advised to save it for undock and carry your fight elsewhere.

There is a great truth that capsuleers and what you could call "normal people" do not mix well. Since as separate groups these two types have little in common. Even the newest pilots learn fast that they may feel "poor" compared to other pilots, but they are already wealthy beyond the dreams of many living planet side. Of course this is all relative in many ways, but the bottom line is I could care less if I drank in the presence of starry eyed groundhogs, and rather than risk my few minutes of free time and the bliss of a fine drink in peace, I would gladly pay any premium at an establishment that catered to my needs. Of course, while I certainly wished no harm upon civilians of any kind, my own Jin Mei heritage traced a distinct line between "them" and myself and rendered it unnecessary that any interaction need occur between us.

Upon entering the establishment I did immediately notice the enhanced data, and communication services offered, and was pleased to find the few other pilots present represented a wide segment of the types who also enjoy a little privacy. A few hardcore miners, at least one "aspiring" pirate, a few Navy types... and now my own self. Amarrian, Minmatar, Caldari and Gallente were just labels, this place encouraged the abandonment of all of the baggage of the various Empires.

As a courtesy I turned off the facial recognition and other background identification, scanning and tactical analysis features of my Monocle, as well as all optical filters and holo recording, and my own Neo-Com connection to everything but the market and my inventory servers, as I did not want to break the implied rules. Privacy came first here, and if the stories were true of the owner, whose name I had been told was "Muri", then I knew he would be aware of even the data streams his clients pulled. This fellow may be one of the few in New Eden that could by mere suggestion alone get a Monocle user to give up, even temporarily, such an advantage.

Finding that I felt rather much at home here, I navigated the now comfortably dim seeming space to find a seat at the corner of the bar. It was time now to test the seemingly wildly arrogant boast of "a whiskey like no other" ... With a nod to the bartender, whom I took to be the aforementioned "Muri", I quietly requested the house special whiskey...

Noticeing another new Patron wanting to order a drink Muri excused himself and walked over saying "Welcome tothe Outer Rim watering hole. Names Muri what can i get you?" Listening to the order and exactly what he was looking to drink he smiled and said turning around "Friend you are one brave person. your the second to order my familys moonshine whiskey today. And the first guy got a surprise"

Pouring out the drink and takeing it back to Faulker he said "Im going to say the same thing to you as i said to the last guy. Drink it slow. that stuff has been known to help strip coolents in a ship".

Suddenly from the other side of the bar an Ammar capsuler and a Minmatar capsuler started to fight into what soon could be a bar fight if it continued. Growling Muri said grabing a shotgun unde the bar "Excuse me a second please".

Fireing one shot in the air every one in the bar froze and Muri pointed at the two capsulers saying "Boys you picked the wrong bar to fight in. This bar isa a peacefull place for all capsulers from all empires to come drink and laugh and I aim to keep it that way. Either take it outside or ill be forced to put a few holes in you and around these parts that wont ven raise an eye brow. Or option 2 you sit down, enjoy a drink and sort the argument out like gentlemen. your choice."

Looking at the shotgun both patrons think twice about fighting and sit down. Smileing and lowering the gun Muri said "Thats better." As soon as the gun was lowerd life seemed to come back into the bar. Placeing the gun back under the bar Muri said to Faulker "I apologise for that. now and again we get a few in here with tempers to hot for them to handle. That and old empire grudges sometimes just wont die to easily"

A man walks into the Outer Rim bar, clad in armour like a crustacean made of rage wearing an aura like wings of flame, his eyes hid behind combat tested glass.

A gun - expertly wielded - fires rapidly from his hand into the crowd. Some scream, some duck for cover. Others - more used to the darker regions of space - merely take another swig. A single ricochet from the Amarrian's weapon falls into a disused tip jar. A blank, from a stunt gun. Muri smiles knowingly, a shepherd who is used to dealing the sheep their dreams.

A muted explosion is heard outside by some, but few respond.

I only post here if EvE is offline. Which means my posts are never well timed.
