Skill injection question!!

So I'm coming back after 3 years away. My question is pretty simple. Can I get skill injectors and take useless skills and inject them to use as more important skills into the same toon? Is there a simpler way to take the skill points from one skill and use them for another? Sorry if this question is such a noob one.

Yes, you can use a skill extractor to take out 500k SP and then use the resulting skill injector. There's a couple important caveats.

First, you cannot extract if you have less than 5.5m SP.

Second, and more important, in the scenario you describe you will always be injecting 400k or less SP back into you.

Using extractors/injectors to retrain a character is common. Just be aware that your definition of useless may change over time.

I find myself retraining some skills I extracted a year ago - no regrets, the skills I injected at the time were way more important but I thought the skills I was removing were useless!
