Question about joining new corporation!

Hello there , i am new player that start his journey befor few days. And as every player i was looking for corporation.I found one that ask you to login with your account in their webiste . Can i ask this is the website its this safe. And can it be a scam?

That looks like it links to EvE's login portal.
As a general rule, I trust those, because they have to go through CCP's account security system to pull information.

A lot of alliances use those for their core service hubs to make sure you are who you say you are when you log in to them.
Opsec and all that.
Ascendance is part of Goonswarm Federation, they're not the type to scam new players.

Just one point, never ever use your account details, login on any other site than CCP's sites or the EvE client itself. There is the option to let CCP authorize third party services to access your char information, but the login for that comes from CCP, check that this is the case.

the log in redirects you to an eveonline.com web page which will then send an authorization token back to the website that shares whatever information you let it share. Typically these are used to ensure you are who you say you are, for instance it wouldn't let me join goonswarm forums or coms as I'm not a member of goonswarm.

Hello and welcome to Eve,

Yeah, that's like a courtesy reminder notice from CCP covering their arse, basically that notice always shows up regardless which web site is selected. They could also possibly have that as a legal defense if something along that nature were to happen.

My advice is for the short term only, how short will depend on you.
DO NOT GIVE your information to anyone or put it on any web site, even one needed to join a corp until you fully understand what all of the different permissions levels are, and what information those permissions will give the corp and it's leaders access to.

No I do not think giving permissions is bad, giving those permission without completely understanding what information they will allow other access to, and how that may affect you and any characters you have in the game is bad. Better to act with caution now rather than regret a hastily made decision later.

I'm just throwing it out there, Goonswarm were at one point quite famous for scamming new players under the guise of recruitment.

The website login looks legit tho.

I would like to point out that ASCEE and my corp are two corps in GSF where you will get auto-banned for life for recruitment scamming directly into either corp. That fact is one reason Karmafleet is so big, and so well-regarded.

You made me run to re-read the relevant rules.

Sadly, all other kinds of scamming is also still a no-go for us. Bummer.
