Eve doesn't support VR , some people are just so stupid or attention seeking.

I have the same Problem with some First-Person-Shooters. It's like you getting Seasick after some minutes.

In my case it comes from "wrong" Field of view settings of the game. It happens mostly if the game was a console port or parallel release. If you play on a TV, you are much further away from the screen and so have another Field of view than if you sit in front of the PC monitor. Often you can solve the problem with editing a config file or sometimes there is also a slider in the options menu.

But i never had problems with Eve. Experiment a bit with the distance to the monitor or the height of the seat. If that doesn't work, try it with disabeling options like "Dynamic Camera movement" or change the camera center. Perhaps it helps.

Speaking of EVE motion sickness I can't stand the warp shaking camera effect. That and the new dscan GONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG every time you use it.

This is famous for helping BTW OP.

You could also try the Sensory Escalation Method. For ≡⋁≡, I'd suggest something like her docking in a major hub, and simply getting her to undock and float for a bit (this would get her to get used to "random" objects like ship traffic, while familiarising herself with local landmarks). Rinse, repeat ad nauseum, you might need to re-dock her vessel for a while. If this works, do the same thing with her flying to (one in particular) stargate. Stage three would be to jump through it etc.

This would familarise her (possibly over quite an amount of time if her motion sickness is severe) with routine actions performed in-game. I'm quite an advocate of SEM, it helped me conquer PTSD after a brutal home invasion by 15 of my neighbours, and having to teach myself how to go outside. It's used by some who practise clinical psychology.

I only post here if EvE is offline. Which means my posts are never well timed.

UPDATE:

Okie so tonight we turned her camera movements off , dropped the effects a bit and she played in a slightly smaller window.
she was able to go about 30 minutes but then the nausea kicked in.

At least there is some progress. We ordered a travel sickness band hopefully that will help.

Is she in a well lit room with a comfortably ergonomic chair and keyboard layout?

this is gold advice! in fact you wanna probably turn off all the camera options, but thiese 3 are the most heavy on motion sickness

I think she might be still too confused with the interface and moving her eyes around too much and having trouble orienting herself in the internal 3 dimensional axii within the game.

I dont think its any fps/frequency issue.

Afterall, we are talking about looking at a flat screen

Try telling her to activate the tactical overlay, as it gives a flat constant plane to look at/orient off of whilst arrows/lines indicate position above/below it and directions of motion.

Space simulators have a long heritage of being disorienting, as we arent used to 3d motion where up/down mean nothing. This was especially prevalent in "Descent", even in confined spaces.

At sea, the common advise to the sea sick is to stare at the horizon. But sea sickness also involves physical motion that upsets our balance sense mechanisms in the inner ear. Nonetheless, there is a cerebral effect as well, and having a constant flat plane to look at might help as is the root of the sea sickness solution of staring at the horizon.

I fly with the tactical overlay on at all times specifically to help myself orient my motion.

(Even birds, the masters of terrestrial 3d motion, get completely confounded in zero gravity experiments where orientation is subjective.)

As you may know, the background in the system is a cube, textured on inside.

Now its less obvious because they improved the background, but earlier you could have seen the seems between textures. It was fairly immersion breaking and felt nothing like a space when you found those seems by zooming in.

Now when it became so realistic, maybe it makes more people sick. Pirate

I had similar issue. There are graphic settings that can help, I'd suggest disabling "camera bobbing", offset, and other dynamic camera movement.

Smaller screen (less immersion) might also help. Don't use a 40" curved one that covers the entire field of view.

Can confirm this. My wife has looked over my shoulders a few times while I was in-warp and walked away feeling dizzy.

Frankly, I need her watching me play Eve like I need her following me around Home Depot.

Alright so just now she got a good 40 minutes in and with full screen (she refused to maintain window mode)
Hopefully with the travel band and a lil more time just getting used to the game she will be able to play independently with no symptoms popping up.
