How Does This 60 Day Trial Business Work?

These codes may not be used to extend any existing trial or buddy account, or to add game time to any previously existing EVE account.

I don't get it. Once I create an account I automatically have a 14-day-trial. How can I activate a 60-day-trial on top of that?

Can I activate them if the 14-day-trial already ran out and the account is disabled?

60-trial was a special offer for us vets to give out and we have only one code each.
It's a standard trial but lasts 60.days unlike the usual trial of 14-days and 20-days for buddy offers.

If you subscribe then the remaining trial time will be added to you game time, so in theory a 60-day offer is a 90-day offer for the price of one month (30d).
Only one trial per account is allowed.

To use 60-day trial code, you would need to go to https://secure.eveonline.com/Activation and enter code there, then you are asked all the account details for your new account.

So you are not making 14-day trial account first, but make 60-day trial account directly.

Once you made any trial (either a 14-day normal one or a 21-day Buddy invite one) you can't change or add any other trial offer on it.

The only way to extend a trial account is by paying for the game and add 30 (or more) days to it and it will change into a full (paying) account.

If you have a 14-day trial you can only get a 60-day trial account by making an entire new account if you have a 60-day trial code.
This means new login-name / PW (you can use same e-mail though) and start a new character.

Keep in mind 60-trial codes run out tomorrow, so if you have a code or get one today, use it. Tomorrow all 60-trial codes will be disabled and you can only create 14-day (normal) and 21-day (buddy invite) trial accounts again.

Like above the 60-day trial account codes were a gift from CCP to all paying subscriptions during the holidays. Every paying subscription got a 60-day code so that they could invite friends (or people on the forums) to the game.

Yes, as long as you selected PLEX as the reward when you sent the buddy invite.

Of course, he has to use the PLEX to activate the account. But you trust your friend, right? Blink
