The current "This week in EVE" gives an overview of the previous week from April 22 to 28

Dev blogs and announcements
Monthly Economic Report - March 2017 - Feedback
The EVE economy is run by players, incredible huge and very exciting. To provide insight to this fantastic part of EVE, we publish monthly economic reports. The latest one (March 2017) is now available, including raw stats. Please note, the regional breakdown of trading doesn't include trades in Citadels - yet. CCP Quant is regularly improving these reports. The next report will have correct regional mining and trade data.

EVE Vegas 2017 - Tickets are selling fast
EVE Vegas 2017, the fabulous player gathering in Las Vegas, takes place from October 6 to 8. Tickets for EVE Vegas are selling at a record rate. This year, we have a new venue for EVE Vegas: The LINQ! The LINQ provides the perfect setting for this epic player gathering. It is directly located in the center of the infamous Las Vegas Strip. Tickets are available here.

Improvements to Total Net Worth indicator
The Total Net Worth counter displays a character's estimated total net worth based on inventory items, ships, and other assets. With the YC 119.3 release 1.9 on April 27th, the Total Net Worth indicator has received several improvements. In some cases, the change in Total New Worth might be considerable and could result in a significant lower Total Net Worth. The possible devaluation is due to the fact that we will now be excluding injected items that used to be included in the Total Net Worth calculation.

Discontinuation of the legacy scanning system on May 9th
With the release 119.5 on May 9th, we will be moving all players to the new scanning system and removing the beta option from the Settings menu. After the release of the new scanning system earlier in March, the time has come to disable the old scanning system.

Aurum and Content Pack Sales To End On May 2nd
Aurum will be discontinued and existing balances will be converted over to PLEX with the arrival of the PLEX changes, which will be deployed on May 9th with the 119.5 release. Aurum will end as of downtime on Tuesday May 2nd, a week before this change occurs, to smooth the transition from Aurum to PLEX. In addition to this, content packs will also be discontinued at downtime on May 2nd.

PvE becoming more like PvP? Not at all!
CCP Larrikin replies to concerns that PvE might become too much like PvP. Especially regarding the new PvE with the upcoming Blood Raider shipyards, this concern was raised. Rest assured, we are aware of the different nature of PvE and that it has its own value. Then, there is also the danger of de-valuating the time spent on mastering the system. We are aware of this danger too. Check out the excellent post for further info!

PvE content not for PvE people?
The Blood Raider shipyards are just the first step! With excellent new tools, the dev team can create all kind of new PvE. PvE at different sizes and in different locations. Solo content in Highsec, small gang content in WH space, or fleet content in Nullsec. Why Blood Raider Shipyards first? We want to test these tools in the harshest possible...

So, not only you force everyone to 'try" this atrocious "new UI", but you're dead set to lock everyone to it?

I like the announced possible changes to PvE that the dev team may create using their new development tools. These nice changes to small gang PvE in wormhole space and PvE fleet actions in null could end up being very interesting and exciting. Thank you very much to everyone at CCP for all your constant hard work making the eve universe the amazing place that it is today. And it usually keeps getting better, thanks

Would be nice if the "new PvE" was interesting but for some reason i'm sceptic, time will tell.

How is it worse? It seems better to me. I can now clearly see what the hell I'm scanning and also moving my probes up and down, left and right is much easier now. The whole thing seems easier to learn now then when i first did scanning 2 years back. It confused the hell out of me the first time I tried it. The old scanning system was too cluttered and too busy.

I am also excited for the new PVE stuff, but would probably still not do it because I'm not part of a large PvE corp :( If there are sites that I can solo, than maybe I'll do it. I just hope it won't be too hard if there will be solo PvE

No single control is where I remember it, and there's no place on the screen where new scanning UI can be located to use it conveniently.
Tthe Analyze button is placed so idiotically that the only logical place for the scanner is a top-left corner, where it would either cover essential information, like flags/sovereignity/route/mission/etc, or loom over the screen center, interfering with probe movement. Any other location placed Analyze button into an unreachable position.

Id have to agree on the new scanner, i hate it, hate the new map and the new dscan - if it aint broken why fix it ffs? Ugh

Not sure i like the new pve stuff either, i mean delve is currently where goons are right? soo... your gonna give goons a load of isk is what you really mean? and make this new pve so frikkin awkward that you need a gang to do it? or that it blatantly 'cheats' - i heard something about it reacts to what your flying and reshipping.... thats fine when your in someones home system for pvp and you can move along but if a gang is out doing stuff it doesnt have that option..

Did i mention how much i hate the new map, probe scanner, dscan and all of that?

Why are you guys working on 'fixing' things that WORK and so many people use and get along with? I have to spend money on a sub just to relearn s**t just because..?

First, when is it not fawltys birthday? Second, I wholeheartedly agree that the new scanning UI is utter garbage. It is so counter intuitive compared to the original. Its like they looked at the old one thinking "What can we do to f this up", and then some intern was like "Yo I got you fam".

The new probe and directional scanning UI is pretty good. I performed over 3000 of scan operations in the last two months and I can say: "I like it". Very informative ui icons, very useful bindings to the keyboard and mouse buttons.

I can add few suggestions only:
1. Please, add an option to Advanced Audio Settings to control the sound volume to Probe Scanning and D-Scanning respectively. There are only Hacking track. Or I missing something? Because that WOooooowWWoooooo after a full WH scanning and D-Scan pings during Hacking gives me headache... and I need other sounds to be turned on.

2. Please, balance the static position of those red dots of anomalies near some true center after scanning if performed. The problem occurs in WH with many signatures (over 7). After a choosed dot is scanned it can move to other corner of the UI scanning screen. After it's scanned again there - it moves to another corner of the screen again like this. Too much time for this stuff is required.

3. Some more filter to D-Scan. It can confuse players, while D-Scan view is binded to the Overview Tabs Filter (General, Mining, PVE...).

Sorry, mate, I can't agree with you. Check this link to see how I positioned 'em very well.

If you an explorer - just forget about those mouse clicking operations!

Just use:

1. F3 - to launch the Probes.
2. Alt+mouse scroll to set the size.
3. Drag n Drop the "cube".
4. Double click on the ui change xy to xz axes and move the cube with arrows to not break the align.
5. Ctrl+mouse scroll to move to the most exact scanning, for lvl IV signatures.
6. Press B on the keyboard to scan. DON'T click that button every time.

Probe Scanning Map Background "NOISE" = Ventilation Shaft???

When probe scanning it sounds like I am sitting with my head in an air ventilation shaft. The background "NOISE" is coupled with the "UI Interaction" so I cant turn it down without turning the other scanning effects down!!! This is so annoying I dread having to scan at all but I must every day. Please remove it or tie it to the "Map and Ship Tree Volume" so it can be turned OFF without turning down the other probe scanning effects!!!!

It would help greatly if they could have left it so the color band covers the whole item on the scanner, rather than it being over lined, or underlined, whichever it is. Having some astigmatism makes it quite difficult to tell which is which.

I do not like the new scanning system. For us older players, the graphics are much harder to see. It has reduced my enjoyment of the game significantly. And the attitude of forcing it upon us just sucks.
