I said I'd resub when all weapons have gotten rebalanced. 18 months later they announced they were working on this particular issue.
So we'll wait and we'll see what come out of it. Rebalancing all the weapons will probably mean another massive balancing pass for all those ships which are either worthless or OP. Anything that isn't OP borders on worthless, almost by definition. Don't envy them this task, that's for sure.

So I sit and I wait, maybe they do a good job and I return or maybe they blow it again like Ytterbiums pass at shield boosters and I move on with life.


this is what happens in every game, everyone wants a certain armor set or weapons, with a game as customizable as eve and the no lifers out there can get into doing something will spend days fitting every module on every ship that can do a certain job in the attempt to max it out and then we share that fit and the rest of the galaxy gets that fit for that 1 ship to do 1 thing.

I myself aim still upset thanks to the tengu vs drake wars of tengus getting 100kms with heavy missiles, so instead of nerfing the bonuses on tengu, they nerf heavy missiles in general making an all tank drake ineffective if something goes out past 60km I think

I make enough mostly passive income I can afford to continue my subs. and one account I'm slowly training useful skills and extracting SP to keep it going. basically do one week of useful training and 3 weeks of training to extract.

I have a 486dx2 that plays it fine. Even if my toaster has more memory it still just chugs right along.

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

I actually re-subbed a month or so ago.

So first off I only came back (after leaving in 2012) because of the Alpha clone. So thats one for CCPs marketing department.

I re-subbed because I found something I enjoyed ingame. IF I had spent any amount of time station spinning I would not have bothered, however I found my way to Providence and found that the whole scene up there gave me plenty to do.

I've now subbed my alt account (as you do). I won't be resubbing any of my other alts but 2 is enough.

So I think the key is to make it easy for old players to get right back nto the action, whatever that might be.

EDIT: I would have loved it if DUST was ported to PC as an optional expansion for EVE. I sure do miss my tanks sometimes!

I've tried several times for a while now to get back into it. Even now that my daughter is getting old enough to where she doesn't require my constant attention ...Idk. It's just not magical like it used to be for me anymore. The old music is gone (and the option to have the damn jukebox...) Aura is gone (really awful idea...). Every thing has changed so much from when I started in 2010. So many unasked for/un-needed changes that were forced upon the players. So many wreckless changes that made it un enjoyable for me. I hate it because, well, I used to love it. I tried everything in Eve at least once. I don't even care about CODE. Go figure. They never bothered me, nor did the endless stream of trolls that caused me endless losses. I got over it and it never affected my image of the game. My killboard is mostly a loss board. But I still loved it. Then, at some point, especially after the new jump gate effects and the loss of Aura ... it all just kinda stopped being enjoyable. It stopped being Eve for me.

I don't know if it could ever be like it used to. I actually enjoy my off-line life now sooooo, that's a plus for life and a minus for EvE, knowhatImean?

No tears of rage here, for sure. Just tears of, well, sadness. I miss my old Eve but if CCP is still in business then obviously my opinion was the less viable one :/

This is life as everything changes, Just look at your daughter she will change week on week but you adapt! so have fun and adapt with eve?

You posted ONE thing you don't like about this game and it keeps you from re-subbing. Also, if you would have investigateda bit more , the camera changes will not harm your gameplay at all. No hate dear delusional friend, just an "are you daft?" thought. I repeat: Go Away, EvE doesn't need you.
