1. My 7(ish?) month old char = flies all faction bships.
2. I have lost 1 type of bship for each faction except Caldari.( Never even bought a Caldari bship. DON'T QUESTION ME I CAN DO WHAT I WANT! )
3. Apoc navy issue lost since a friend bet me I wouldn't dare gank a hulk in it =P.
5. Lost a Mach, but that was because of server lag
6. This went from pro cross training to why you should focus less on winning. Even a sandbox can have an endgame.
7. Skipped 4
8. Lost a Mach, but that was because of server lag
9. NEVER PLAYED A BETTER GAME IN MY LIFE.
10. Lastly, I will <3 you ccp if you let me use my Abaddon (current ship flavor of the week) to "interact" with the Dust 514 players in my own special way.

there's your solution... its that easy!

Its allways cheaper to do this than wait for a year doin something you dont like to train your character for something you would like..... and when you do it it will not be nearly good as one sold as focused pvp characters !!

Even if you get few mil sp less than your own toon , or lose some bil isk in process imo its worth doin it if you are serious about your new career as cruel coldblooded razor .

But a tip. If you care about amount of isk in your wallet , ships you have... or if only you wanted to join 0.0 alliances for incursion and ratting in belt... i would stay in High Sec f i were you .

If you really want to learn to PvP find a lowsec corp - either a Faction Warfare corporation or a pirate corporation - you'll learn far more about ship-to-ship PvP (as suppose to giant capital fights or boring structure shoots).

In lowsec, not having to worry about spies and not having to deal with Sov maintenance means there is a lot less political interference, and a lot more regular fighting.

Every PvP corp that's worth anything will involve a bit of hazing and waiting - you may have to fight alongside the corp you want to join a bit before they'll accept you, but its still possible to get on board if you show that you're serious.

Alliance requirements for fleets are often quite cookie cutter - and you'll learn quickly how to take orders but it will be harder in the long run to learn to think for yourself in a PvP engagement.

Low sec PvP is a bit steeper to get into, because more individual thinking is required out of each pilot in the gang, but the skill level can often exceed that of Alliance pilots who, like I said, are used to reliance on prescribed fits and following strict orders.

So yeah, those are your two options. If an alliance will actually take you, you might have a bit of an easier time since you can become a cog in the machine pretty quickly and might receive more easy-to-learn instruction upfront. But if you seek out PvP training in nullsec - the learning curve will be steeper but you'll turn out a better pilot in the long run - because you'll learn how to fight a much wider variety of ships than you'd find in nullsec.

Experienced low sec FC's know how to use all the ship types that "X up" for a roam - and will most certainly have a place for your caldari training. The main problem with Caldari is that shields don't scale well with massive fleet engagements - once you're at the battleship level armor tanking is the norm. Thus, the alliances won't have much patience for you bringing an off-tank ship to a fleet. However, in lowsec, roaming gangs of frigates, cruisers, and battlecruisers are commonplace, and ships such as Tengu's, Drakes, Blackbirds, Falcons, Naga's, and Hookbill's are used with deadly effect.

Ultimately you'll just have to decide which fleet size / challenge level you want to begin learning PvP at. I always prefer smaller fleet work myself, because victory revolves more around which gang exhibits greater talent, as supposed to which superpower shows up with greater numbers.

Don't be fooled into thinking that 0.0 is the ultimate destination for PvP. It's just the ultimate destination for one kind of PvP.

Also, anyone telling you that you must sell your toon because you trained Caldari and want to PvP has no idea what they are talking about. If you love Caldari ships, there is a corp and an FC that will use you. I guarantee it.

I doubt it is your skills , like a earlier poster said , drake fleets and now naga s are populair , and a good falcon pilot always is welcome,
Main problem here is trust
, those nullsec alliances have become so paranoid about spies and possible leaks they almost stopped recruiting outside their own group of people
And then they complain nobody wants to go to nullsec

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

Your trying to join the wrong corporations, we fly Scorpions, Drakes, Nagas, Blackbirds, Falcons etc all teh time. DOnt try and band all coprs and alliances under one ridiculous badly painted banner.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

OP, if you're dead set against crosstraining, you'll have a rough time of it. Suck it up, train Basi, Scimi, and Guardian, and nobody will complain about your training schedule again.

You should learn a tackler t2 frigate or faction frigate. It's just a few weeks. Tacklers are needed everywhere and they fit in every fleet composition. After that you should give another try to join a corp. As a second step guardian and scimitar. Everybody loves logi pilots and in most of the null corps usually they have ship reimbursement programm on those ships so flying those things is healthy for your wallet too.
