We have only managed to kill 4 retrievers and 2 ventures but we are swamped, there are too many here in Ono.

One corp even advertised in local for AFK miners, I don't understand why he was so upset when I killed his venture, he wasn't even there!

They got so upset over 2 ventures they got another corp to War Dec us! And would you believe that corp is there to protect AFK mining - stated to me in local !!!

So how can one small corp clear so many bots and AFKers in Ono?

One at a time every 15 mins every day until you reach your desired outcome . It is a war that won't be won in a single day but keep at it and recruit as many as possible to your cause. Force them to move on, use non afk ships like the procurer or even make them pay you for 'protection'. While it is not possible to own a highsec system it is possible to drive the undesirables (whoever you don't want there) away. Best of luck and if fun shenanigans occur keep us posted (imo use the pirate story thread)

Bumping some of those barges out of range can be a fun alternative (if they're really AFK).

Be the change you want to see in Highsec.

Or go out to null, join (or make if you're crazy) an alliance, and krab them out of business. See if you can get the price of trit back below 4 ISK.

Our corp has been observing these guys for weeks now, I can assure you there is a massive amount of AFK mining and possible botting due to the repetitive nature of their actions, they replicate the exact same activity on 5 or so pilots each in different belts in Ono.

We have been very overt in scanning , bumping and orbiting them a long time prior to deciding to use cannons, we basically broadcast our presence weeks in advance to no avail, no response normally.

Its going to be interesting times ahead.

I approve of a decleration of attempted content creation. Good luck

Edit: You need to use the line "This is going to be my first and my last warning" at some point. It's going to be the "This will be dealt with" of 2017

Some of the guys come from null, we just don't want the bots and AFK miners to win so we are making plans to burn Ono as much as possible, it's a matter of getting the ducks in a row, and also manufacturing the ships and fittings which is happening on a large scale, its a huge undertaking, one advantage we have is we don't care if we lose 1000s of ships whereas the AFK miners and bots are concerned only with the isk.

Unless you throw a ridiculous amount of ISK and players (or real money-swarms of alts) at the problem, you're not going to make a dent in it when they all go brick-tanked procurers. Something like:

Highs:
2x stripminers of choice
Mids:
EM Shield Hardener II
Thermal Shield Hardener II
2x Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Lows:
DCU II
Reinforced Bulkheads II
Rigs:
3 Core Defense Field Extender I

That's about 45M for about 90k EHP with perfect skills, with the weakest resist being kinetic. A lot of them have figured out gankers like cats, so they'll run kin/therm hardeners instead of EM/therm, which means you have an easier time with laserboats.

If they really are bots, better to just get them banned. Don't fight cheaters with the game's tools. You'll either talk yourself into cheating to "even the odds" or play at a disadvantage.

If they aren't bots and they ship up to procurers op success. If they are bots CCP are pretty notorious for dealing with them. Just report why you suspect them of being bots and one day they may all vanish onc the particualr method of botting has been worked out and how to detect it

You smother them with love... and by love I mean antimatter hugs and kisses resulting in glorious spaceship explosions. Nothing says love like blowing someone a kiss of explosive ordinance. Blink

Correct. James 315 owns highsec, and He currently has none of it up for sale.

Some new folks may have been wondering why they can't own a highsec system.

It is an interesting issue to try and tackle. I shed my high sec love and moved on but I can tell you before that, my girlfriend and I ran a highsec mining op and even if someone had managed to kill a ship it would not have made a difference.

We kept them in NPC corps so you couldn't war dec us.. we made 15+ billion a month so we could plex all our accounts(and have 5+ plex to play with) and this was only about half our time spent doing it. Now granted, we didn't play afk so that made a pretty big difference. This was also before the orca had to be on grid as well so we didn't have to manage that.

If they are making that kind of isk, which they could be or more, you need to cause them a lot of pain. Gather intel and times on these ships and get with a group like code or another afk miner hunting group and spend a solid weak just smashing the **** out of them.

You need to cost them big losses in both time and isk...

I was going to say "Kill them until they stop coming back" but it appears you are already doing that and this is just a game after all.

That they apparently have sent mercs after you is entirely normal. If you are a lover and not a fighter, you have to pay a fighter.
