I know how to find public structures for industry. However, how do I find a public structure for reprocess ? Is there some list of the reprocess-able structures and also their bonus?

Similarly with compression, how do I know the structure allows compression?

And, what is a purpose of the Scan Towards ? I usually just spam V and rotate camera, is there better way to do it? I noticed this option as sometimes when doing it my way the UI gets stuck into "target" mode and I have to cancel it.

thanks

You will find a structure browser in the business folder of your neocom. You can filter by structure type, service and range.

Most public Citadels (Astrahus and Fortizar) will have reprocessing plants The browser will show the reprocessing tax but not the yield. Most will advertise yield as part of the structure name. Base yield will be 50%, 52% with T1 rig or 54% with T2 rig.

The reprocessing service module also compresses so any structure with reprocessing can also compress and that is always free.

Unless you have perfect reprocessing skills, you will usually be better off selling compressed ore than minerals.

Hello and welcome to Eve.

Not sure what you mean but it sounds like you're asking about the Directional Scanner.

That guide should instruct you on how to use D-Scan. Basically for Defensive scanning have it set to 360 degrees at maximum range. Select "Active Overview Filters" so that it works with the tab currently active in your Overview window.

I suggest having multiple Overview tabs set up for various situations. I have 5 different Overview tabs = Everything - Drones - Combat - Loot - Travel. It's a good idea to have Scan Probes and Ships selected to show in most Overview tabs. However for some tabs such as Drones or Travel you'll want to keep those specific. Main thing to remember is not to have the tab cluttered with lot's of unnecessary items. For example my Travel tab only has Stargates, Stations, Planets and Suns selected to show, basically allowing me to quickly select and warp to a Celestial object without spending time searching and scrolling through that Overview tab..

For more info on how to set up your Overview check out this Overview guide.

Good luck and may you have a long rewarding career here in Eve.

Yes it related to direction scanning. However I did not found answer on this otherwise great website.

I already know how to d-scan and Im doing it the way they mentioned in the wiki. However it seems there is another way or option that I do not understand and thats "Scan Towards", shortcut V + Click.

Occassionally, when spamming dscan I activate this mode which is what noticed me on this.

I would like to know how this mode/feature works and if its worthy to just delete the keyboard so it doesn't get unintentonallz triggered or its worth to keep it.

D-Scan towards is used in conjunction with a reduced cone angle so you can help pinpoint a target without attracting more attention (either decloaking or launching combat probes) or requiring the effort to scan down if the target is at a warpable location already on your overview/scanner.

You can turn on the scan cone on the top of d-scan (alt+d) to see on your map the scanned area.

Here's a use case: let's say you're in high sec. Warp to a planet with asteroid belts, set range to 0.2 AU and angle to 5 degrees. Then "scan towards" each asteroid belt near the planet, and you'll be able to see what is there without having to land on grid and spook the inhabitants. You'll possibly see who as well since a lot of people don't change their ship names from "XYZ's Venture."

Some capsuleers never use D-Scan. Using it depends on the space you're in, the activities you like, and whether you are looking for trouble or you care to look out for it.
