Is ti blueprint copies invented for scammers?

I been to jita and I saw so many scammers which I didn't see in other games. Looks like where isn't function like bot report also where isn't function scam report. Local chat channel is just spam. Game design is ****** in Jita system.

Why did developers invent blueprint copies in this game? (it just use more resources of server, more bots and on top of that - spam)

EVE is designed as a sandbox with as much freedom as the developers can provide. What you see is a function of in-game scamming being a legal play style - there is no "report scam" button. Best thing you can do is simply ignore local chat in Jita, unless you just want the laughs.

Blueprint copies are a crucial part of the game design. They allow people to manufacture items without the vast expense of purchasing the originals. They also create a mechanism whereby the originals are kept in a safe place while the copies are used in places where they may get destroyed.

Copies are also required for the invention process that creates blueprints for T2 items. Except for a handful of T2 BPOs that were issued using a lottery system back in the dark ages, all T2 and T3 blueprints are copies with a limited number of runs.

We can have as much crap as we can until server get flooded. Players survive without copies in other sandbox games. You guys thinking how to easy make items but not actually how to improve server and add new items instead useless copies. I can turn off local chat but it doesn't reduce spammers, bots and server resources. And also it increases the time to dock to the station because of bots and spammers.

The question is how do you want to have: The quality of the game or to have plenty scammers in game. I like blizzard how they fight with all these type players. Probably reason because it has lots players and players love because of there no spammers or bots. I was surprised that this game has plenty bots for farming and selling.

You know that copies aren't useless, right? There are solid uses for them.

Invention is one. Another is to help spread the costs for the original blueprint. For when someone wants to make something, but not spend the isk on an original blueprint. Or for security, so you don't risk the original (which can be worth billions) but instead only make copies available.

Like many complaints about features in Eve, yes, they can be use for (really obvious) scams. But the valid uses are solidly worth it.

CCP has been doing this for a long time. Scammers and spammers in Jita offer only a tiny fraction of the system load that a large battle creates. The servers can handle it fine. This game is built around the concept of maximum freedom. Scammers come with the territory.

There's a great deal of complexity to this game - far more than you see in any other MMO. Of course the game could function without blueprint copies, but it adds an additional layer of gameplay and opens a world of play styles that wouldn't exist without them.

You should try to understand the game instead of comparing it to other MMOs. It's in its own category. But it may very well be that EVE isn't for you - and that's okay. It's not for everybody.

OP, if you can't deal with scammers, you will probably have a hard time enjoying EvE ... you know, people can blow up your ship and pod anytime anywhere, and this is legal too.

BTW they do take a hard line against botters... maybe not Jita Local Chat bots, but to think the game runs slower because of all the botting is incorrect.

Learn the history of the game... it is what it is in large part because of the freedom we have (and some enjoy exercising) to do bad things. Sometimes I hate it... but wouldn't have it any other way.

simpler solution:

Instead of having BPO's a dark blue and BPC's a slightly lighter blue... make the copies pink.

Then you'd have to be really dense to fall for a copy in a scam.

I could support that. But it still requires that you understand the difference between a BPC and a BPO - and the OP apparently didn't. Of course tears of ignorance are almost as tasty as tears of impotence and rage.

Blueprints and Pinkprints.

That could work... Selling packs of PPs sounds pretty gross though.

That's also confusing, as "PP" is the nickname for Proton Power, a well-known and trusted industrialist.
