What's the best way to move large amounts of minerals?

Would take nearly 3 JF runs to move minerals for builds, is there anyway to optimize m3? How are the kids doing it these days

Move compressed ore instead - more space efficient. You'll also get better refining yield in low or null

There is the Kryos ship, but I don't think it will hold as many minerals as a Jump Freighter.

You could try to move compressed ore that contains the minerals that you need. Compressed ore is smaller than minerals. Downside would be that it would be based on your refining skills, and the station/citadel you refine them in.

This. I'm so glad I trained that refining skills. Will never go back to ship the low end minerals. Also I can buy the compressed ore cheaper than the corresponding minerals (oops, revealed a trade secret. Twisted). All I need is a DST and a BR now.

I'm my own NPC alt.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some accurate figures for ore compression. Which compressed ores are best for each mineral or anything of that sort. What I can find seems largely outdated

Respect

EDIT: Can someone perhaps help explain exactly what it is I am looking at lol

https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/ore/

^gives actual amounts per refined unit of ore, can be sorted as well. spodumain is generally the best "bulk mineral" ore, meaning you only need to by handfuls of the other ore for the higher end minerals.

What are all the things I can do/ train to increase my reprocessing efficiency? Right now I am at 72.4%, good/ bad? What can I do to get it higher? Do social skills effect it?

the skills under resource processing. 72% isnt bad, but it also isnt the best.

Reprocessing modules max efficiency?

Reprocessing yield: Station Equipment x (1 + Refining skill x 0.03) x (1 + Refining Efficiency skill x 0.02) x (1 + Ore Processing skill x 0.02) x (1 + Refining Implant %)

Beyond that facilities (station equipment) are very important. Citadels & EC offer the highest yields:

Unrigged Citadel / EC (in all areas of space): 50%
T1 rigged Highsec Citadel / EC: 52%
T2 rigged Highsec Citadel / EC: 54%
T1 rigged Lowsec Citadel / EC: 55.12%
T2 rigged Lowsec Citadel / EC: 57.24%
T1 rigged Null/WH Citadel / EC: 58.24%
T2 rigged Null/WH Citadel / EC: 60.48%

Example:

max ore yield in hisec = 54% x (1 + Refining skill 5 x 0.03) x (1 + Refining Efficiency skill 5 x 0.02) x (1 + Ore Processing skill 5 x 0.02) x (1 + Refining Implant 4%) = 78.14%

max ore yield in lowsec = 57.24% x (1 + Refining skill 5 x 0.03) x (1 + Refining Efficiency skill 5 x 0.02) x (1 + Ore Processing skill 5 x 0.02) x (1 + Refining Implant 4%) = 82.83%

max ore yield in nulsec = 60.48% x (1 + Refining skill 5 x 0.03) x (1 + Refining Efficiency skill 5 x 0.02) x (1 + Ore Processing skill 5 x 0.02) x (1 + Refining Implant 4%) = 87.52%
