Certificate Error When Starting Launcher

I am playing on a Mac and my launcher won't start. It gives me an error as follows:

A certificate error has occurred:

Server's certificate is not trusted

The launcher then opens for a second and closes immediately. I have tried a full reinstall (deleted all the files in the library), restarted my computer and googled extensively for fixes but most of the fixes revolve around Windows and there isn't much help out there for Mac.

Was wondering if anyone could help out.
