Maybe you can make us type something to potential buyers or sellers? So when they open the contract they can see it. It would be helpful for me to do so because I might want to purchase some more per month or whatever, and indicate it.

*Cought* I think you meant "let us type something." Forcing traders to type something would massively slow down the market: The volume of trade orders passing through professional traders in the hubs is massive... If they get slowed down, they'll put their prices up to maintain profits.

This may have merit, but given we already have the EVE mail system to communicate with other players, I don't see the feature getting enough use.

As a side note, if you want to buy something regularly, or otherwise have a large supply, have a look in the systems of Jita, Amarr, Rens, and Dodixie. If you can't buy it in bulk there, it's probably been removed from the game, or only drops from one static 10/10 Cosmos site in the middle of Goonswarm space.

You can already add a note onto a contract you make, and if you want to get in touch with the seller, you can already open a convo or send them a mail, so...isn't this rather redundant?

You can already see who posted the Contract and send them a mail.
