So I love EVE but simply don't have the time to play extensively plus I'm rather reserved in a game dominated by social trends. I want to start building up significant capital from the capital I already have to be able to influence the game in what ever small way I can when I do have the time. I love producing ships and getting them all sorted out for others to use but since I am not in an alliance/ corp it is hard to actually do anything of note. I am not opposed to joining an alliance or Corp but I would prefer to stay in my own corp and just freelance for them so to speak, help them out in what ever way I can while remaining autonomous

Anyways, I have around 100b liquid + another 30b-ish in assets. What do I do?

Not giving it away, so chill on that.

Should I do loans? Start solo production, if so, caps (carriers, FAX, naughts)? See if I can produce for some small group? I am really open to anything.

I want to make a few bil each month or so so I can host small events where I give fitted ships away in low/ null to have small battles going on. To create content for others and myself as I enjoy the production, logistics and such of setting up something like that and have never really partaken in any battles myself over the last 6 years or so in-game

This may not be the best place to ask and I am not necessarily asking how you guys make all your money, just what a good place to start would be so that I can get a decent, steady income from the capital I already have so that I can give to the community

I dunno tbh, someone take me under their wing and give me a purpose with what little time I have in this world

100b is a lot of capital. I'm sure whatever venture you decide to fund with it would net you a lot.

Station trading seems like a safe bet, get your relations high with Caldari Navy if you can, max out the trading stuff, buy low, sell high.

You could also seek out a large null alliance, get into their industrial base. Set up buy orders for the minerals they are mining, seed their markets using your BPOs with whatever doctrine they are flying. Profit margins in null can be quite high.

Collaterized loans are also quite profitable, although you need to factor in the cost of the third parties you'll be using, which you could circumvent if the recipient is willing to do a direct trade with you. Keep in mind that obscure items with low turnover can be manipulated quite easily when you appraise the items given.

After you get a steady income stream, you could seek out mercs to mess with people and entities.

I've thought about this stuff a lot in the past, these are what I'd do in your position. Big smile

I didn't say a had no time, just little time. Implying, that I don't have the time to make the type of lasting commitments to corps/ alliances/ groups of pilots that seem to be standard in EVE. I just want to make a little ISK while providing a small, largely passive service to others (production, financing, something of the sort)

Thanks for the suggestions mate, I'll look in to those.

Aha, I'm not that insidious plus given the fact of my seclusion in-game I don't really hate any group. Just looking to have some fun with others at my expense

My suggestion is you change directions, making isk is fun, being rich is fun, but its not the whole game.

Recruit ppl and make something of you own corp, there are people out there that want what you want, you just have to trust
you have the capital to be able to warchest a small war in highsec which is fun for those that like look at stations (maintaining docking radius)
you could tell ppl in your recruitment drive all ships provided
one of the guys u recruit will stand out on coms
make him/her the FC & plex his account for him, so he doesn't have to bother grinding isk on safe highsec alts, or wormhole alts.

at the least by a wormhole & setup semi-passive afk planet income in a c1 HS static or something.

Spend 1/2 u got on that & see if you want to do another term of PVP & actual gameplay, or go back to playin eve by yourself making isk for no reason.

Did you mean 100 million ISK ?

100 billion is a lot and takes some skill, knowledge and a great many game hours to accumulate.

How did you make this? Did you blow $2000 on PLEX?

Why do you otherwise not just keep doing what you have been? Surely you must have figured out some effective system that works for you...

If you are looking to protect the value of your current ISK while you are inactive, identify around 15 unrelated items with decent trade volumes that are at annual market lows.

Wormholes corp may be a cool idea, never done anything permanent in dem whs before

100 Billion+

5 years in-game making passive, semi-passive, active isk; running standings increase services (for POS anchoring); production; exploration; highsec incursions; market trading. Anyways, 5 years in-game making ISK somewhat steadily with no real expenses...plus bought and sold characters for profit plus invested a large amount of my capital in PLEX back in the day which almost double the ISK I put in. Name it and I've probably given it a go

Because, I enjoy managing things more than grinding (for personal reasons and time constraints) and now that I have some decent capital and infrastructure set-up and no real expenditures I can hopefully have my capital work for me. I've done all kinds of things, just looking for something I enjoy managing that will make me decent, steady money...or at least keep me operating on the positive end of the spectrum while I start up some small scale ventures

100b is enough to set up your own market hub anywhere in highsec (or even lowsec, if you have powerfull friends)

get yourself a fortizar and do some research about the location

put it down and start placing buy- and sellorders

buy ore, minerals, PI goods, Salvage, ...

Sell common ship hulls, ammo, drones, ...

100b is definitely enough to create a very interesting place for other players to move in and make a living.
