Hi all,

At the ripe all age of 32 I have finally decided to put some time into Eve online having owned the game for some time. I am currently 3 hrs in and still doing the agent training missions. At what point should I start looking for a corp to join? Any pointers would be greatly welcome.

Looking forward to joining up with some of you in the near future.

I never thought I would say this, as I "grew up" in highsec, but imho nullsec is where you should start. I started in 2010, been to wormholes, lowsec, null, and looking back I think most free I felt in nullsec, shorty followed by wormhole space. Looking at highsec and all the restrictions, annoying war declarations, ganking, etc, makes me shrug. Here in nullsec at least if someone is not "blue"/friendly in local, than they are out to get you. Also, the jump to nullsec is not as scary as you think, if you have people guiding you.

This was the advice part, now comes the advertisement :) We are recruiting! We are a group of mature (mostly 30+) gamers living in the rich Deklein region of nullsec, we shoot NPCs, enemies, and chunks of floating rock in space. Our space is close to some great PVP providers in the form of Pandemic Horde. Some might advise you to join them, as they are a newbie friendly megacorp, but somehow I feel that with such high numbers the individual gets lost easily.

By they way, which timezone are you in? If EU, than there is a high chance that we could meet on Discord to talk.

Thanks very much for the advice, shortly after posting this I was contacted in game to join a group that sounds similar to yours. they seem like a nice bunch so going to commit to them and see what life is like in a corp.
