Do you like your portrait? (What "look" were you going for?)

It's ok i guess. The lighting keeps changing from when I make the portrait so more of my face is not visible, which is really quite annoying. I'll make the portrait, and few hours later it will change itself from what I made... anyone else get this?

Yes the offline rendering got the shadow settings wrong.

As for my portrait, was trying to recreate my old image.

The new character-creator helped me embody what I see as Lyrr's personality.

As someone described in another "rate-the-toon" thread, "I'm going to kick your ass and make you beg for it," look....

Intellectual, bitterly misanthropic, borderline-psychopath in flight-jacket and aviators, basically.

(A look that only the Minmatar characters have ever pulled off properly in both--a'hem!--incarnations of the character-creator, imho. The old Minmatar/Siebestor male avatars just looked so perfectly wrong, though.)

Tried to replicate my original avatar's look (unpossible without the hair ornaments). Still try to keep it around but been playing around with whatever comes to mind - currently trying out the "innocent japanese schoolgirl look."

I wanted an avatar that looked confident, direct, and a bit attractive.

I've fiddled with lighting and posture occasionally, but I'm pleased with the current portrait and will keep it for some time.

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain。

This is exactly how i look. apart from i normally wear a goatie beard although i can get lazy and let a light beard grow.

Eve friends on my facebook have mentioned it a lot

Edit i should get more poontang than i do :(

Kinky, fun and down to earth, with a bit of scary. She makes other pilots ships blow up.

And yes I am pleased with it, considering reducing the metal a bit though. Originally my portrait was a try at replication, but after trying a few things out I liked this pose more.

My new face was meant to show Nachshon having gone native among the Minmatar. I was generally quite pleased with the results. Yesterday, I got him a new outfit, and re-posed him, looking for more of a military feel.

Caldari by birth, Minmatar by choice. Give me the word, and I'll bring down the sky.

I thought I was going crazy! This is super frustrating. I picked a light pattern that showed that my jacket could actually, you know, cast a shadow. Now it looks like my skin luminesces.

I suppose that's better than fading into darkness, though. Here's hoping CCP finds time to iron this one out.
