EVE Won't Launch After System Refresh

Hi there,

After having performed a system refresh which cleared all my applications and programmes I redownloaded EVE from https://community.eveonline.com/support/download/.

When I try to launch the client via the launcher it appears in my task manager but only under 'background processes', and the client does not appear in my taskbar. It also does not appear if I try to alt+tab into it. This also happens if I try to launch directly via the exefile.

I wonder if the system refresh may have deleted some essential programs needed to run the game. I already found that I had to download and reinstall MSVCP120.dll which I've done.

I'm using Windows 8.1 x64.

I'm very grateful for any help.

It's hard to say without seeing your launcher log file. Often when this issue occurs the cause is that the client is not detecting your graphic driver. I recommend you try reinstalling your graphic driver with the latest driver for your graphic card from your graphic card manufacturer.
