I'd love to see a new feature that allows you to create "fitting packages". Which are... well a package of fittings.

These would behave differently than simply putting a bunch of fittings into a container. For instance there would be a way for you to easily identify if you have the skills to fit a particular package as a whole.

Essentially this would allow you to put together a defined package of fittings that you could easily drag-and-drop onto an empty hull and have it fit all those fittings on to your ship. Perhaps it wouldn't need to be empty, in which case you could have it replace fittings which are currently fitted (except rigs of course).

You could name and easily trade these fitting packages among your corp members or others. Store different fitting packages you've put together for use or quickly swapping them.

Basically like trading a fitted ship but without the hull. Especially helpful when your corp mate has the hull but you want to give him a specific fit. Or you want to keep a bunch of fittings grouped together for a specific fit so should you need to replace a ship, you simply acquire the hull and your good to go, knowing you have a specific fit at the ready.

You could remove an entire package at once from a ship, or remove a single piece of equipment which will de-couple the package of items.

And get this.... CCP could create pre-defined named fitting packages which industrialists (well any player) can put together and sell on the market! No, not through contracts, which new players have little familiarity with and is a cumbersome way to purchase and sell. Even older players may not be all that familiar with contracts.

This can take away a lot of the initial confusion and trepidation of new players about how to properly fit a ship and get into the action. And for the lazy among us, let people buy entire fitting configurations in one package to quickly and easily use. Since the entire package will have to be a market commodity they'd have to be pre-defined packages, since you can't otherwise sell a package of items on the market.

Such a thing would be immensely helpful to new (and old) players alike.

I think it makes sense to sell a package of fittings for a particular ship separately from the hull itself. Hulls and fittings are somewhat different markets and one might want to purchase their hull and fittings separately in order to maximize their ability to get a deal on either, or buy a single hull with a few different fitting configurations, or maybe they have multiple hulls already and just want to get all their fittings in one easy purchase.

Well ideally CCP would make this is un-scammable as possible. However as we all know, if it's in Eve, there will be a scam created for it.
