Corp/Faction Standing and Fees

I plan to focus my time in EVE on trade only because I've been busy and I herd station trading is 'kick back'.

I made a plan to train the necessary trade skills so I'm good on that. My question is standing...

From my knowledge - choosing a station is important when it comes to fees. Since I'm Minmatar - I picked 'Rens' because I have a good faction standing towards them. But I don't have good standing (it's not bad but just not what I'd like it to be) with the corp I'm stationed in.

I notice my fees are sorta high, and I would like to continue lowering it with raising my standing with the NPC corp (Brutor Tribe). If I start doing Brutor Tribe missions, will I be able to lower my buy/sell order fees?

Also, if I were to recruit Minmatar pilots and have them do Brutor Tribe missions; will it decrease fees?

Yes that is generally how you lower fees.
Be aware that you also need to lower (edit: increase) your faction standings, meaning you need to do storyline missions and/or the special data center and COSMOS missions for Minmatar.

For your last question, if you are fleeted with someone it means that you share bonuses including changes in standings after some algorithm. There use to be pilots offering such services on the WTS forum, but it seems to have fallen out of fashion. maybe it works different these days, I am sort of old :)

Yes Cista meant increase faction standing. Though depending on what you trade you can get by without standings at all. I have several trade characters, four actually, two have good standings, faction and corp, the other have zero but all have maxed trade skills, Broker and Accounting are the usual ones to get high asap.

But trading without standings is perfectly possible, just go for higher margin items. Of course it is true that over time the fees that you pay can amount to a large sum.

So what's going on with Citadel trading? Alliance station owners and Citadel owners take the brokerage fee, right? My pod has been in stasis for some time. Do owners set standings to provide broker fee bonuses for good traders who make their markets good yet? If not, they should start doing so. It will advance the economy in their region and enhance their warfighting abilities. Tell all you encounter and tell LIBERALLY!
