I have a mission Raven and am debating whether to get another or go with a typhoon set up with cruise missiles.

Typhoon - 5% bonus to launcher rate of fire.
- 5% bonus to explosion radius.

What this means to me is I can go without the rigs that you normally put on a Raven and beef up other areas such as defense, plus that drone bay I could field a set of sentry drones with 125 bandwidth.


Raven - 5% bonus to to rate of fire
- 10% bonus to missile velocity


What this means is more applied dps quickly, plus the Ravens power grid is higher which makes fitting easier in some cases, however it lacks drone space and can't field a full set of heavies nor sentry drones.


Also the typhoon gives the option for guns, but no bonuses.

Reason for another mission boat is this will be used in Amarr space, where as my Raven is stationed in Caldari space, my skills are great with both for T-2 so no issue there.

typhoon just for the more adaptibility and the bonus to application.
with mids to apply better and armor tanking... something like that i would say.

even if the raven has spare mids to dedicate to application too.
but all in all... i would say typhoon :)

Rattler should put you into more comfortable level with everything even you just put a standard t2 fit bs super blingy ones.

Went with a typhoon, at the moment it is torp fitted and is doing pretty well.

I prefer the cruise typhoon to the raven and I've posted my fit in here a couple of times, but it's pretty standard. I prefer 4 T2 sentries and a flight of T2 lights. You could look at the Typhoon Fleet as well as (unless it has changed recently) has room for an extra sentry.

I generally stick to curators and wardens as I find Gardes are a bit short on range and bouncers a bit too long for lower damage, so wardens and curators seem to be in the sweet spot.

I also go for a cap boosted tank and use the other midslots for 2 painters or 1 web + 1 grappler.

missile velocity is an under rated bonus. I just can't fly a rattlesnake because it feels like it takes all day for the missiles to just get there. if I do I mjd and let my sentry drones do all the work and maybe launch auto-targeting cruise missiles.
