Dedicated Ammunition / Missile bays

I think it would make sense to have a dedicated ship bay (much like drone bays) for ammunition and missiles etc.
This would allow you to transfer everything in your cargo without having to filter out ammo etc. It would also make sense from a 'lore' perspective as you probably wouldn't have all of your missiles sitting in with loot.

Thoughts?

Given how things have been balanced in the past... the DEVs would probably nerf cargoholds overall to make room for an ammo bay.

I don't know about you... but I prefer keeping things more "flexible" rather than have things made "specific" for certain things at the cost of others for the sake of "because it makes sense to my OCD."

This has been suggested and discussed to the point that the horse is fertilizer.

How much cargo space you have is a balance parameter as much as anything else on a ship, so if CCP were to add an ammo bay that would take away from cargo space on the ship and limit your cargo bay space. There is no reason why anyone should want this ever, even if you got a few more m3 of total space out of it somehow.

If you want to move stuff in and out of your cargo without dealing with ammo create a Filter for it. One click and no more looking at, or selecting, anything you don't want to.
