ETA on Chimera model rollback

New model is terrible. Went from an angular warship inspired design to something akin to an I beam with antenna's strapped on.

I know it violates the longstanding CCP policy of fixing things that aren't broken, but perhaps CCP should just cut their losses and bring back the thing that people actually liked.

I been kicked out of better homes than this.

I like the texture and shape of most of it, but the top part is just too narrow, it should flair out more, it looks like someone just took a massive chunk out of the top, not at all a Caldari design and the two panels sticking out the two sides would be better receded more into the hull.

I like it. Looks like a realistic ship now instead of a big polygon blob with little ****** trex arm antennas sticking off the side like the old one.

If I had one complaints its the lack of an overhang on the front.
Waiting for quality amarr redesigns like this.

I like the new model. Also there's no way they're going to roll it back, this one supports new texture tech and doesn't look like it was skinned over a 128baud modem.

If you are zoomed in close enough to see your Chimera hull, you won't be owning it very long.

Id rather they just redesigned it to be of a similar shape and outline as the old model but with updated tech. Kind of a sleeker version of the old model, which this isn't its drastically different.

Concord ships are the ones that need to be rolled back. They ruined them. They need to redesign them like ther did the Vexor. You keep the overall shape and modernize it. They made the concord ships look to much like mordus ships.

Considering I don't remember something like this ever happening in the past, ever.

Probably not likely.


I'm still annoyed by the Cheetah's model adjustment, though that was a base model correction instead of a retouch/re-imagining..

I love it when MMO players come to their games General Forums and make some sort of overt "Do This Thing I Want, Stupid Plebs" topic title, addressing the games Devs.

Right after they complete the other side of the Aeon Hull.


I like the new Chimera Hull design. My concern is the fighter mechanics and aggro. Micromanagement of fighters is hard enough, now I have to factor in an orbital between each NPC.

I say concern, not problem. My carrier ratting ticks went from 30-35 million down to 25-30 million. *yawn*

Ill explain why so few things put into a video game are ever removed after no matter how unpopular they are:

1) you'll get used to it.

2) If a corporation spends 2million putting something into a game then pulls it 6 months later investors will want some people fired and since those people kinda want their jobs it stays in the game.


p.s. I love the new design. WAY better.
