I have an Algos fit for belt ratting with full electron blasters, but I have a little extra grid and CPU. Should I remove a single electron blaster and fit a neutron blaster instead? My target is a battleship.

try using a fitting tool and find out, might be worth it to use a few ion blasters instead. People say don't mix guns and all that but mixing blasters can be useful since the ranges are so similar anyways.

Yeah this is basically what I was getting at, additionally stuff like if you find a cheap meta 4 but you can normally only use meta 2, then toss in a meta 4 for great justice. :)

It also helps that you're shooting up one target size.

A neutron blaster is almost certainly better for shooting a BS. The only advantage of electrons or ions is range and tracking (neither of which should be an issue against a BS). However, I hate mixing weapons, so I'd probably try to fit 2 ions in there. A little less DPS but doesn't hurt your range and tracking that you'll need against other targets.
