Does podding players in NPC corps still incur a standing hit?

According to this old thread, podding pilots who are NPC corp members caused the pod-killer to take a standing hit with the victim's corp: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=5517852

Is this still true? What if the pilot being podded is suspect or criminal? The support articles on Suspect and Criminal timers don't mention anything about this.

AFAIK ... yes (haven't podded such a player for a while). The criminal/suspect status or where you kill the pod do not matter.

I'm my own NPC alt.

Tipa & Jacques- thanks for the input.

It'd be great to get official CCP feedback on how the game works.

Yep, it gives you -6 standing with the corp in question.

The status hit in losec when you're the aggressor is pretty well known. The status hit when shooting flashy pods in hisec is much less widely known.
