Hi Guys/Gals

So I have been running around LS doing DEDs for ages and normally when I come up against PVPers I scout them on Zkill to make sure they are not some sort of Blops pilot and then go after them with a Sleipner and Gila with mixed results.

Either way its a bit of a pain as I have to put my ratting ship away and bring out the PVP ship (the Gila is used for both so that's fine) and there is a lot of add risk by having to travel to the Site and getting into the site puts you at a disadvantage (try catching a 100MN Tengu in a gated site, not fun). So i am looking for a ship that can effectively run sites (does not have to be the best as there is always give and take) but also be effective against things like T3, Machs and Nightmare.

M Thought was to use a Bhaalgron with a fit below but I cant make up my mind on the last few slots.

Mids, I was thinking MJD (For GTFO), Cap booster or 100MN AB for easier site running and keeping up to people once they are webbed without killing my cap.

Highs, a Third NOS (maybe with no cap booster) or a compact Heavy Nuet (Defiantly with Cap booster).

[Bhaalgorn, LS PVP]

Heat Sink II

[Empty Med slot]

Caldari Navy Warp Disruptor

for me it's a no Cool
wrong ship imo

low dps to complete the site fast enough
700hp/s of rep power, 900 overheat --> small frigate gang and you're done
only nice thing are the nos and their power but..... it wouldn't be my choice to run sites.

i would opt for a t3, probably 100MN tengu with crystals/snake at choice
or a nightmare with snakes 1200 m/s ish without links, with 2 utility for heavy neuts to neut out anyone and gtfo and nice dps

basically what i want is mobility to kite the enemy and dps to complete the site fast enough.
bhaalgorn nice web and nos.... but mobility, tank(active tank) and dps... not really

i forgot: eventually a sin Cool with all those highs to neut even a titan Cool

Blood Raiders look great for PvE on paper because they're easy to perma-tank with their NOS bonuses, but in practice you're much better off going with a higher DPS ship.

I'd consider a Nightmare: more DPS, more mobile, better tracking to help offset the long range web. Plus, you always get style points for killing 'rats in one of their own ship. Also, if your drone skills are up to snuff, a vanilla 'Geddon is never a bad choice.

But, if you're intent on sticking with the Bagglehorn, I do have some thoughts:

1. MJD isn't for GTFO, it's for tactical positioning. If you're in a position where you have to GTFO, chances are you're scrammed and your MJD is useless. Sure, you can use it to GTFO, but relying on it for that is kinda foolish. It's still a viable choice, but plan accordingly.

2. If you go with the MJD, I'd swap the MWD for an AB. Use the MJD for long transits and the AB for everything else. Your cap won't get gimped, and you'll retain mobility even if scrammed.

3. I'd consider dropping the second web for something else. Options would include a cap booster, a grappler, or maybe a cap battery.

4. Drop one of the ANPs for a Nanobot accelerator. Yes, you'll be less cap stable, but you'll tank much better overall.

Your highs and lows generally look good, but I'd try to fit another NOS in that last slot, even if it's undersized. Also, mind your explosive hole.

Thanks Guys

2 Reason I was thinking of going for a Bhaal over a NM.

1. With a PVP fit it seems very hard to get the NM cable stable (without a booster running) to even shoot its guns let alone Rep. maybe i.m doing it wrong.
2. One of the main ships that I see around is the NM and from the KBs at least one is very bling, so assuming I'm in a non bling one I can only see myself dying in a fire. (Rough fit below + he has a **** fit Malediction with no rigs and Medium Extender which is easy enough to get rid of with the GIls rapid lights and Warriors/nuets and webs)

As for a T3, I hate the skill lose (Sort of an SP purist only training at max and what not)

[Nightmare, LS PVP]

Damage Control II
True Sansha Heat Sink
True Sansha Heat Sink
True Sansha Heat Sink
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

True Sansha Heavy Capacitor Booster, Navy Cap Booster 800
Pithum C-Type Adaptive Invulnerability Field
Shadow Serpentis Heavy Stasis Grappler
Pith X-Type X-Large Shield Booster
Core X-Type 100MN Afterburner
Large Micro Jump Drive
True Sansha Warp Disruptor

Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L
Mega Pulse Laser II, Scorch L

Corpus C-Type Heavy Energy Neutralizer

Large Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer II
Large Core Defense Field Extender I

Infiltrator II x5

That being said i have the isk to buy a NM as well (or 10) so i could give both a try.

2 choise i think:
- or with cap boosters and then everything can run easily
- or almost cap stable without cap booster

x3 True Sansha Heat Sink
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
x2 True Sansha Capacitor Power Relay

Pithum C-Type Adaptive Invulnerability Field
Pith X-Type EM Ward Field
Gist X-Type X-Large Shield Booster
Republic Fleet Large Cap Battery
True Sansha Warp Disruptor
Domination Heavy Stasis Grappler
Core X-Type 100MN Afterburner

Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Mega Pulse Laser II
Corpus X-Type Heavy Energy Neutralizer
Corpus X-Type Heavy Energy Neutralizer

x2 Large Capacitor Control Circuit II
Large Core Defense Capacitor Safeguard I

gist x-large use half the cap respect pith
also i wouldn't fit the MJD
finally you can use another resist insted of the EM one, based on the type of npc
i putted the em to fill the em hole. obviously is all bling but you can downgrade as you prefer.

964m/s all lvl5 with 11min of caps (without neuts)
1200m/s highgrade snakes

well you can always try :)
it's kinda "meh" fitting a ship with all you need to do everything basically (ratting + pvp)
would be nice if you find someone to rat with, so you can split mods for pvp etc and have more freedom to adjust mods needed to "gtfo" on 2 ships :) (for example https://zkillboard.com/kill/61307430/ )

but don't trust everything i say Cool i still haven't ratted once in my life
all i know come from hours and hours on pyfa xD

Yep I can. (what does this r/ <- reference mean?)

Andrew, why would you want to fit the core defense field extenders and not a core defense capacitor safeguard? You want your cap for lazors and the afterburner is your tank. And for the love of my brother Sansha, use tachyons.

Why would you ever want to put the beautiful Nightmare into harms way if you don't have to? You can all NPCs regret ever meeting a Nightmare from 130/160km away.

And since you will look anyway, yes I kill carriers and bhaalgorns with my Nightmare and make everyone regret ever looking at her majesty.

Soel's fit looks solid since it is a pve-ish fit. Oh nevermind the tachyons, you will run into powergrid issues if you don't fit pulses Sad

Oh well, you will have to fly a little closer then.

If anyone asks, my Nightmare is legendary on SiSi and many bhaalgorns failed to bring her harm.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

yea basically pulse are needed only for fitting 2 heavys with all the rest
you have to fly more closer but it's a pve fit: you want DPS to clear the room faster :)

.

Thats not my fit, just one I have seen on the KBs (from a guy in the LS where i hang out)

But yes, I would use Tachs for PVE, Pulses don't have great range without a range bonus or mods.

If I was going to use a Snake I think I would have to go for a booster, Just needs way too many mods to get it stable with guns and AB going.
