Just found this on the old forums,

Guide to maximizing your Mission profits,

To my fellow mission runners I'd like to share some tips on maximizing the return on your loot. No, this doesn't belong in the market forum -- this is not a trade how-to guide, it's my experience with getting the most out of Missioning.

Active time is very valuable to a mission runner (as opposed to a trade alt). The last thing you want to do is engage in docked up .01 isk wars in Jita. Nor do you want to spend a lot of time hauling loot to a sales hub -- that's why so many sell to buy orders right at the mission hub,

1. What to keep, that to sell, what to melt.

Non-named mission drops sell for slightly less than their mineral value.
Other than a few items with obscenely long production times (e.g., Damage Control) it's possible for anyone to make far more of these modules than anyone would ever want even without rat droppings in the mix. Don't bother trading these.

Named items with less than 20k market value are not worth clogging up trade slots with.

What's left is your ammunition to fire at traders at a trade hub.

2. Logisitics

How you get your giant stash of remaining goods to market depends on how large the stash is. If it's only a few thousand m^3 you can transport it fairly quickly by cargo expanding and shield tanking a battleship. You can haul about 3000 m^3 in armor tankable BSes while still having a respectable tank. Fit a MWD, don't AFK and you'll have no problems.

If you're looking at a freighterload, courier contracts are your best bet. Separate the loot into about 17000 or 100,000 m^3 stacks and create courier contracts to the nearest hub. You can search current region contracts to get an idea of what typical rewards and collateral for hauling are. You'd be surprised how reasonable they can be. The downside is they may take a while to happen. Ask in your favorite channel for someone with a freighter alt -- they might be able to help you out for a few million.

Whatever you do don't just pile all your crap into an untanked, cargo expanded hauler and set AP to Jita.

3. Closing the deal

If you want to avoid .01 ISK wars with the lemmings the only approach is 'shock and awe.' Your strategy needs to be closer to slashing, burning and pillaging than caring and nurturing.

For every stack of items right click and check the market value. If the difference between the lowest trade hub sales order and buy order is 20% or larger you will want to move this item via sell order. Undercut hard -- if the items are all at 230k sales, offer them for 220k. Or 210k. You want to give the traders incentive to buy you out right away, not play undercutting games.

For items with a 5-10% spread in bid to ask you're better off just selling to the sales order.

Pay attention to very profitable items. For example, at the moment a 'Refuge' Adaptive Nano Plating I has a 100% profit margin. That's worth trading, not just unloading. As you move your horde of loot you may find some items worth trading.

4. Do I need some skills and other stuff for this?

Biggest bang for buck skills are Accounting, Broker Relations, Trade (to IV) and Retail. You don't need months of training, a few days is all it'll take. Freshly rolled trade alts work fine.

Good standings reduce broker fees. Jita 4-4 requires Caldari Navy standings, and Rens requires Brutor Tribe standings. You can easily identify the trade hub stations by examining mineral buy and sell orders. Right click on the order, location->show info and click on the corporate logo to see your standings.

Your best bet is to Contact Rita Jita Founder of Universal Jita, who offers to buy all your loot at Jita Prices, on all your items

Or you could get it all picked up for free by using the service offered by Universal Jita, they will buy your loot from you at Jita prices and even come and pick it all up for you, leaving you to continue Missioning.

But even without standings, using Universal Jita you will still get far more ISK than you would simply selling to the nearest buy order.

Remember you can take advantage of all this without all the hassle, check out my link below

You are right, that doesn´t belong to market... and it also doesn´t belong here, it belongs to Want Ads & Trades.

regardless who wrote what,

its about maximizing your income from running missions, the OP isn't around anymore so i updated it for him.

Bottom line
It is more profitable to use Universal Jita than to haul and sell the stuff yourself. and its the only reason it was updated in the post

Thank You

I know, I know one is not supposed to give away stuff in Eve...

However, one trick I have used to some good effect is to throw a bunch of items into a Courier contract with collateral of a billion isk. Move it to jita.

However, put enough into the Courier contract so that, while you could get more than a billion isk for selling it, you would be happy with the billion isk because it would take time/games in order to sell it.

What sometimes happens is the courier will look at it and go "there is more than a billion isk worth of stuff here! This guy is an idiot! I will default in the contract and keep this stuff!"

It works best, as in the OP, when there is a large distance between bid and ask prices. The courier may tend to see more the ask prices and think the loot is worth more.

Doesn't work all the time or even often, but when it does it lets you 'sell' a billion isk worth of items quickly.
