There were no Drakes when I started playing the game. I don't associate Drakes with young characters running missions (more established ones yes, but not two month old chars). If I were going to run a mission I would use something other than a Drake (of which there is a long list that my main can fly). A high alpha ship with a huge tank and resist bonuses is overpowered for use in large 0.0 blobs. Personally, I think the correct fix is to half the buffer tank, and increase the passive regen rate so that the ship can tank the same amount of DPS in missions . Increase the DPS a little bit so that mission runners can finish faster to make up for the loss of EHP and you're good to go.

But but... my Drake blob... It's the only way I can PvP with minimal risk and claim to be pro because I have a padded killboard Cry

How is concocting a convoluted strategy to even out a Drake defending the CSM? Ooops! I get it. That's what THEY did!

I personally look forward to the change..

It will mean that i will try to fly drake again ..

As the damage of the drake "T1" is really really bad...
Well from the point of gunnery pilot in hurricane at least

T2 drake is awesome .. just because T2 missiles are awesome ..

So in the end it will help new players. Sure their "tank" will suffer but not that much in PvE related activities..
And best tank is to get rid off dmg dealers.

So i am looking forward to changes... Some fits will change, but what will actually change ?

Active tanked Drake no longer complete fail ? Passive drake still viable in many occasions.. ?
Speed drake here and now .. ?

Enjoy and endorse changes..

Fighting against changes means closed mind / sorry for imput *cough* *cough" Incarna, NeX

Quick! Post something on this thread before Spitfire finds it...unless it says "defense of CSM..."

Once again, another example of the CSM and CCP being completely out of touch with the game.
The CSM is actually doing it willfully, which is truly awful.

The Drake is a joke of a PvP ship, but for many new players to the game, it is a key staple in grinding ISK in L3's and in many cases L4's.

You trash the stats on this ship, and many low end chars are going to have a hard time making ISK in missions.

Of course, that is part of the null sec CSM agenda anyway: Destroy the livelihood of anyone in empire.

Dinsdale !

PS. You might have a point, if the changes made the Drake a bad ship for missioning. If anything the extra DPS makes it better for lvl3's and earns them more ISKies than before.

3 of my accounts can fly Damnation.
I really don't care any more.
