It’s with pleasure that we announce the launch of a new EVE fiction portal!

The fiction portal serves as a central repository and resource for all those interested in learning more about the rich lore of EVE Online and the wider EVE Universe.

Awesome! Thanks guys!

I was waiting for this for such a long time! Go Team Inkling!

Edit: The page looks really nice and accessible, but it would be great if you could change the release date of chronicles/stories to their original release dates and not the dates they were added to the new portal. Just so we can read them chronologically if we want to.

Much love!

Will the pictures be the same size of their older counterparts? Is it possible to get bigger versions of them (Don´t know if you have the original files)

Couldn´t find the chronicle "Taught Thoughts" ( i really love this one).

Excellent work, keep the lore coming!

This

Also, a little redundancy is welcome. For example, on the Minor Factions once you click the logo, the text part doesn´t come with the logo, only the name. It´s goof to fixate the knowledge oh who is who.

It's there. ;)

On image sizes, there is a little bit of resizing being done by the site but in general you can view the image at it's original size if you want to by right-clicking and 'view image' with your browser.

Thanks, we will continue to work on this and are all looking forward to adding new lore in as well as bringing it up to date with the library of existing lore.

Can we get a numbering on the Black Mountain series, please? I never remember in which order they are supposed to be read.

This is great looking forward so you guys do more minmatar lore stuff. To this point it looks like nothing happened for this great people.

This is awesome, but what would be really cool is an in-character timeline thread where you can read the lore from when it actually came from, in a manner that allowed you to see all of the lore, or limit the timeline to a single faction so you could read through their history to now.

Would make it easier for people to the game to understand the Rich story that sits behind the game in a sensible manner

My god the interface is terrible. Why do I have to have so much wasted space? Why is there not a compact view. Also none of the links work.

I think everybody is at this point familiar with Wiki structure and there is nothing better. I will see any atempt to make something else as a step backwards.

I haven't taken a good look at it yet, but it looks decent. Happy to see something, anyway.

But I don't feel like making a github account. Can I not use the bug report for issues?
So far the only one I've found is a 404 on Arcurio link on the Caldari Prime page...which is a pity considering my personal interest in that city.

THANK YOU!

I appreciate that this has come back, but I'm not a fan of this new tablet/mobile format. On a desktop, there is just too much wasted space. As someone mentioned, a wiki format would be far more suitable. This is an issue with the EVE websites in general. They all went through a few changes in recent years that have become overly simplified.

The other issue is that many of the short stories are missing their original artwork. For example, the Jovian West grave is missing the pictures of the Caldari cast and the Jove.

Also we're still missing the DUST 514 chronicles and lore and all the original chronicles from EON Magazine. I know these were never there but let's keep all the lore preserved! :)

I get that you don't want to confuse idiots/new players by not mentioning the Jove on the empires page, but it's a real kick in the teeth of the actual lore.

Wooonderful! I'll agree with some comments like Tavin, but overall, happy to have a dedicated site for lore and fiction and ease to find such pieces :D

Drones. Drones are a means to an end. An end to the ruthless Caldari 'progress' machines. An end to the barbaric 'redemption' proposed by the Amarr. What they see as chaos shall be my perfect order, merely beyond their comprehension.

Really cool, happy to see a bit of lore back on the main sites (and some of the artwork from the Eve Chronicles app)...my two pence, for what they are worth:

> Jovians - being so central to the lore behind/ leading to: SoCT, Sleepers, drifters, et al, it seems odd to leave them out. Would not an 'Extinct Races' or similar be useful here?
> Format - others have mentioned it, it looks okay but leaves a lot of empty space.

Other than that, really good start - am really looking forward to how this progresses. If anyone involved in the project does read this, a few ideas that crossed my mind while browsing:

> Detail - I was reading the Mordus Legion blurb - would have been great to click through links of their hulls, a bit of nonsense on their design approach, the chance to spin said hulls. Also; some fictional encounters from other factions involving them, details of the occupied star systems, how to get there, 'well known' agents offering missions etc.
> Livery (SKINS) - display various liveries of factions, bit of historical blurb etc.
> 'Points of Interest' - Images, guides, maps to the various POIs round New Eden - the eve gate, memorials, titan graveyards, etc.

There seems to be much potential to link up the various other environments via this page: from skins, to PVE and guides and much more, I really hope you do...awesome stuff team. Thanks.

http://fiction.eveonline.com/new-eden/scientific-articles/interstellar-traveling What idiot wrote allowed this article up unedited?

"By studying the layout of the jump gate remnants, a curious pattern emerges. The jump gates snake out like a spider-web from a central point. And what is the central point? It is the system known to Amarrians, who first found it, as ‘Imlau Eman’, or the ‘Mouth of God’, but is today better known as EVE."

No, it is called New Eden, it's always been called New Eden. New Eden contains the EVE Gate. Seriously, between this and the total ignoring of the Jove (so much so they don't even have their own racial page?) shows that CCP have zero respect for the lore of the game.

It is also referencing the whole "Jump Gates have to be in Binary Systems" tidbit that was retconned years ago.
