Player corporation owned research stations

Hello!

Is it safe to bring BPO to player corporation owned stations in high-sec to improve efficiency? I am wondering if there is a risk of item loss if the stations are dismantled / abandoned.

Asset Safe means that you cant lose anything in a Citadel (Other than WH space) , you may have to pay a fee to get the goods back if there is no station/Citadel in System and there is a 5 day delay in delivery.

BPO's are protected by asset safety even if they are being used in an active job. Other materials for work in progress when a structure is destroyed will be lost.

The BPO itself is safe. The time spent in research is not.

So, for instance, if Asset Safety is invoked 206 days into a 207 day ME9 to ME10 project, one might be glad to have the BPO and sad to have lost 206 days of time.

The most annoying thing is when the owners forget to refuel, and the service goes offline.

Good luck getting someone to refuel and online the services again.

Because I'm a soloist and can't properly defend an EC, I recently decided to put my long research projects back into a NPC.

I simply could not risk losing 6 months of research time to a public EC gone sour for whatever reason.

Dropping a private Raitaru at a safe in a backwater high sec system really isn't that risky. Rigging it isn't cheap but, eh, depends on how much research you're doing.

what options are available in this case? I encountered a similar problem this morning; all of my research jobs are paused and I am unable to cancel them. It's good to know that the BPOs are safe, but my research slots are still unavailable. If the owner is unsubbed and gone for good is my only hope that someone war decs them and destroys the EC? I am a solo player so I dont have the firepower to do it myself. I contacted the owner, but theres no guarantee I'll ever get a response.

It seems odd to me that 90% of my slots could potentially be lost forever

go to the asset window, right click on the location and move all assets to safety

I went to Personal Assets - found station and right-clicked, but I don't see any option for moving to Asset Safety. In fact, I dont see that option for any place where I am storing items. My BPOs are in the middle of researching so they wouldnt appear under Assets anyways. There must be a way to cancel research jobs when the feature is disabled in the EC. I have a hard time believing that I lost all of these research slots forever because someone likely unsubbed from the game

It won't work if you're docked in the station you're trying to move to asset safety. Undock and try it again.

You can cancel your jobs at any time, if this does not work you are either out of control range or there is a bug, which should be addressed via ticket.

I'm my own NPC alt.

You can cancel your jobs at any time, if this does not work you are either out of control range or there is a bug, which should be addressed via ticket.

When structures run out of fuel, all jobs are paused and non-interactive in the industry window.

if I have BPO and put it on research for 5 ME, it finishes, then use it for some production, can I later to set it research again to higher Me, when I know I will have hole in production or it is possible to research only once and I should set on maximum that I want?

And is there list for which BPO's sell which NPC's. For example wher to buy 10000mn-y-s8-compact-afterburner BPO?

You can research as often as you want. I commonly push them up to 5 and then make some copies before engaging in longer research periods.

As far as where to find BPOs, I haven't found a consolidated list anywhere. I just run a search for the blueprint in Eve Market Data and look for the NPC stations where it's sold.

Ok, found this searching about jobs locked in a complex (I can no longer dock there). X instead of the arrow triangle on the left and the job can't be canceled. Am trying the pull assets to a safe and will comment back if it drops at a base after the 5 days or not. Fingers crossed.

There really needs to be some notification ability to players with jump clones installed and industry jobs active in Citadels that the owner will remove the service soon or the fuel is about to run out. Pretty harsh grieving possibility especially with jump clone removal service, (set jump clone to cheap, wait a while, remove module, relish in tears).

Obscurity is a functional defense in highsec.

For your EC to die someone has to be willing to invest considerable effort into making it dead.
