The new Fanfest 2017 Schedule is out
and
as the title of this thread states:
Which Fanfest 2017 Schedule Event do You like Best and Why?

This is a work in progress.
I didn't finish it because there are a lot of topics and the scheduling system can be confusing.

However, I will have some time to review this .

My favorite event is the Hope-I-Don't-Get-Stuck-Next-To-The-Obese-Hygene-Deficent-Guy-On-The-Plane lotto.

Pub crawl, can't do fanfest without a pub crawl. Bonus points if you capture a flag, although they might have done away with flags as it got a little too spirited in the past. I uhh haven't been back since.

Round tables are nifty, ~30 players and a handful of devs in a room just talking it out.

Party at the top of the world is a good time, a room full of people singing along to HTFU is something you don't want to miss. And Hodor will be DJing.

game design, and ship balance panels are nice.

keynotes are must see events. seeing CCP announce the biggest coolest features of the year is worth showing up for.

The Keynote, Game Design Panel, Graphicxs and VFX. I used to like the alliance panel for the stupid **** that used to be said there, but it does not appear to be a thing anymore.

"Project Nova is a class-based first-person shooter for the PC taking place in the Eve Online universe and in development by CCP Shanghai.[26] Project Nova will run on Unreal Engine 4 and is intended to focus on the competitive FPS feel as well as focus more on space combat and less on planet combat which is a different focus than Dust 514.[27]"


Which is kind of sad...
Although, it leaves the door opened to bring the orbital bombardment back later on, on whichever platform that may be, even though most likely not on PS3.
That is probably also one of the reason why it is discontinued at this time, even though it is not expressed.

I mean, it would be fun to have planetary control and affect the PI like before.

I think this aspect of PI affect is now cancelled.

I remember videos of ship takeover in the new project Nova, which, although FPS, is not what DUST 514 offered, pay per subscription, or free to play only.

If it's any help now, the Game Balance presentation is by far the most viewed. It was called Game Balance on the schedule, but I believe it's actual name was the Ships and Modules Balance presentation.
