More and more people are getting mad over what they see as a violation of privacy.

This is an important topic that I think the entire community needs to address for a few reasons. With the ability of Internet Service Providers being able to trade and or sell information to another company they gather on a users browsing habits which would include monitoring a user from secure location how is CCP going to address the issue of Alliances within Eve Online having members who work at an Internet Service Provider mentioned in the article that would be able to directly sell or transfer data it gathers on enemy Alliance's browsing habits to third party or even fourth party "companies" that would then be able use such data as API and screenshots taken of enemy assets and locations to benefit their Alliance during an attack or a defense.

I know it is possible for ISP' to monitor what you are doing by using backdoor programs that recreates your screen on their screen. I have had to use such help from my ISP several times where the tech on the other end was able to control what my cursor did on the screen.


Before a real issue takes place with such a security breech that ruins Eve Online I think the issue needs to be addressed with a very serious tone.

nice patch today btw
- Removed racial restrictions on Empire berets.
- Fixed the sound for "probe scan success" so that it only plays when a signature has been scanned to 100%.
