need more overview tabs!

Can we have more overview tabs? Currently it's limited to 8 afaik. But ppl with huge screens could possibly use more.

It's less than a year since the number of tabs was increased from 5 to 8. Think about how you would cope with 5 - it will make you more appreciative of having 8!

I really have to wonder what you need that many tabs for, because I can't actually find a good use for all 8 for one activity. If I'm changing activity it's a better use of screen real estate to just swap overview settings.

6) Logitics
7) travel
8) ships only without gates etc
9) NPC
10) loot

May I recommend saving different sets of tab profiles for different activities? Key words from my comment "for one activity", trying to have one tab for everything you might possibly do is just going to turn into a UI mess. "Oh damn, where was my pod saver tab? Oh damn, I'm dead..."

Personally I have one for PvE, one for PvP, one for PvP with caps, ect. There's no reason you need a tab for targeting Fighters at the same time as you have a tab for NPCs.

That way you can quickly and easily swap profiles even if you get dropped by just going into the overview settings and loading a different one with one click, no waiting.

What we have 8 tabs now?

Must have escaped me. I barely use one of 4. But I have 38 presets for all kinds of stuff.

Not sure if i understand.

Look. I have my 8 standard tabs preselected with one of the presets. Lets say for PVP, i use:

1) show all
2) combat hostiles (subcaps)
3) only hostile drones
4) only hostile recons
5) only hostile tackle
6) only hostile logis
7) fighter & fighterbomber
8) Caps

Even in PVP situations, i have to load a different preset to one of those tabs. Like travel for pod savin. Or only ships for fast lock at gates. Or for scanning/probing. I have a big screen with awesome resolution. More tabs would be nice, wouldn't they?

You can save an overall overview profile, complete with tab names, colors, ect.

If I'm doing PvP I load up a PvP profile, which changes what's loaded into all 8 of those tabs all at once.

If I'm doing Missions I load up the Missions profile. Same deal. Incursions, Incursions Overview profile.

Takes... 4-5 clicks to change I think. More like 2-3 if you just save links to your saved Overview profiles in a Note or something.

It's quicker and easier than fiddling around with a bunch of tabs individually and doesn't have the issue 20+ tabs would have where you can't find anything and only use 3 of them anyways.

What I'm saying is that there's a workaround for the problem you're having, and it's a quite useful one. The work required to add even more tabs to the overview and get them to play nicely isn't really justified IMO because no one needs that many tabs open at once for any given activity.
