Mass Test on Singularity: Thursday, 30th March @ 1700 UTC

Greetings!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Thursday, March 30th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

  • General server and client performance + stability
  • New Suns!
  • Improved Hangar Lighting!


How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the upper left corner of the new launcher and log in as normal. More detailed instructions are available here.

Test steps:
1. Meet in FD-MLJ.
2. Both Fleets: Warp to the Sun, bask in its glory.
3. Dock at a station in FD-MLJ, Switch to Hangar mode if not already.
4. Press CTRL+F to open FPS monitor and make a note of fps.
5. Undock.
6. Warp to and Jump into X-BV98.
7. Both Fleets: Warp to the Sun.
8. Both Fleets: Look at Sun, bask in its glory.
9. Both Fleets: FIGHT

What else should I know?
Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
Bring anything you like to the test (preferably something with weapons!)

So is the singularity server pretty much always up then??? And if so how often does it sync with our account on tranquility???

It's always up unless we need to reboot or update it. MIrrors from TQ happen as and when we require them, but we have a command "/copyskills" that applies any skills you have on TQ to the Sisi version of your character.

Is it ok to film and post the awesome sun-fight on YouTube later on? :D Besides this way I can catch if FPS drops below normal during certain FX ;)

Accounts sync during Mirrors. The last mirror was March 21, 2017 Your account status at the time is what your account status will be on SISI.

Yep, everything on sisi is considered public. The server is open for everyone.

Are you going to continue to enable /omega during the mass test like usual? And if possible, not disable it back from people that enabled it during the mass test. Last mirror I got omega from the mass test, and it was taken away before I was even given the 2m SP. I sadly resubbed a day after the mirror snapshot was taken, so I'm Alpha again...

Also, how is /copyskills functional, but you can't just have /omega check the status of TQ and set the sisi to that? Sisi seems to be able to access the TQ database; is Account status not defined to a set value that can be taken?
