I was looking at this: http://content.eveonline.com/www/newssystem/media/71808/1/9a_sinksfaucets.png

It says "Commodity / NPC Market" is the second largest source of ISK. What does this "commodity" refer to? I Googled around but didn't find anything that suggests we can sell commodities to NPC for that much profit.

The commodities sales include sleeper AI loot and valuable tags from NPC loot, so all of these top three are the direct result of players farming NPCs.

Sleeper rats don't give bounties. If they did, wormholers would never come out of their caves :3 so sleepers drop blue loot - one of those NPC commodities you're referring to; isn't required to build anything, generates isk when sold to NPC buy order. Forces the wormholers to transport stuff to market.

disclaimer: it might be something else altogether, i hope some other oldie chimes in

Its loot that is sold to NPC buy orders. I think some wormhole stuff can be sold to NPC's and also there are 'overseer effects' which come from combat site that are sold to NPC's. They are probably a few other items as well.

sleeper blue loot, faction tags, overseer effects, bounty reimbursement tags, NPC trade goods,

so yea, there is room for a lot of isk to come out,

Pretty sure nearly all of it comes from WH's. NPC trade goods are pretty much gone, every other NPC buy order is relatively niche.

faction tags are a pretty big market, sure some are better sold to other players for lp store reasons, but many are just as well sold to npcs.

also the bounty reimbursement tokens from ratting with an ESS are probably a pretty decent source, that said I dunno the exact mechanics of that.

and with all those escalations going on OPE gotta be good.

i would guess sleeper blue loot is the majority, but the some of the other sources are certainly noticeable.

Thanks for all the replies. I never knew about blue sleeper loot and bounty reimbursement tags until now!
