it's true eft now don't have many important updates, also don't have citadels

i use from may 2016 pyfa and eve hq

and i say that maybe pyfa and eve hq, have some difrent option wich can make eft even better, but over all eft is better then this two, i'm sad there is no any concept that wloud eft be updated

The thing that mostly hurts me (beside the fact that i always preferred eft over pyfa) is that it s really a bad sign for the community and the game itself

One of the most awesome things when i started playing was that EvE had the most active and interactive community compared to any other game ever existed.

When i see these days :

-Battleclinic (for fits and KB)
-Evesurvival
-evekill

Before we had multiple KB, now we got only one which is basically 'official' (and if it goes down dunno what will happen cause half of the people i know plays for having kills)

Evesurvival was a great tool for starters for missions and complex, now there s nothing for these things

There s nothing left to share fits (goor or not) with the community (beside a terrible site that i forgot)

I really think CCP should look at those things, because they are really the symptom of the health of EvE


P.S. To say something on topic, i'm starting again using Pyfa.

My biggest gripe with pyfa is the way it displays resists. Every other aspect of the ui just takes some getting used to compared to eft but the way resists are displayed is just so unintuitive it's really a huge pain to use. Is there a way to adjust so that shield/armor/hull are shown near each other and color coded by resist similar to eft?

Aren't they? I'm not using PYFA but the screenshots show resists all next to each other, same place as EFT and EVE, and with extra neat color coding. Main gripe I'd have with it is it's a bit colorful and the bar behind the numbers can interfere with reading the numbers.

pyfa dev here. I'm confused by your confusion...

Yeah I'm sorry I got confused.. Its the EveHQ layout that I don't like, pyfa does it in an intuitive way. Its the fact that I can't hover over modules to see the description in pyfa that bugs me.

Apart from the abcence of heat damage calculation there is nothing in PYFA, that would really disturbs you from using it above EFT.

What about the truncated numbers? EFT gave us the whole number.

Does anyone have the ability to get in touch with gripen IRL? The other fittings tools universally are really bad, I mean they work but are so clunky and not user friendly it drives me insane trying to switch. I really want a new eft, and if gripen has a patreon or something I would happily donate a grand for an updated version.

it's a super clunky piece of software that is not close to being as good as eft :(

I remember that people from failheap managed to crack data files. So test server versions of eft were distributed.

ships and modules were named NEW <--->

That was years ago

Please come back, I hate Pyfa. The ships are organized like **** and managing fits is a pain in the ass. And the program is retardedly slow and clunky. :(

Good news! Updates to EFT for the current version of EVE (YC119.05 as of this posting) are available. Please test them out and see if they resolve your issues.
