What happened in Providence / Catch? (returning flier seeking history)

Hello,

I am a returning flier to the Providence / Catch region (took a long break since 2009), and it appears that everything has changed. Before my break, the Sylph alliance was defending the area, and I had ships stationed in couple systems. I was pretty new to null-sec, and I did a lot of mining under corp protection, and folks in Providence weren't too mixed up with the BOB war at the time, but then again I wasn't really involved other than seeing fleets passing through and rushing to dock.

However, it seems that some of the stations are no longer around (couple docked battleships couldn't be found). I read up on World War Bee, but that was mostly on the other side of the map. Does anyone have a link to the history on Providence / Catch to help me understand what happened?

Thanks!

Ushra'Khan happened

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

Thanks! Looks like my battleships did manage to see a major battle in Providence, albeit in my absence.
