Being "drunk" was never a reason for loosing a ship more like our fleet simply loosing.

My first Machariel back when they were still a billion isk. While sober I planned the fit. However, by the time I had flown back from Jita with it I had had a couple drinks. I went in to my hangar, fit all the gear, and noticed that it was massively cap stable.

Now, a pause here. I intended it to be nearly cap stable when I made the fit and then work my way out of it (at the time it was the most expensive thing I'd ever purchased and flown). I'd spent a week planning this and picked up all the parts.

I looked over the fit again and everything seemed to be lined up, so I started tearing out cap related equipment and tossing in more Gyros and Tracking enhancers. COOL!

Off I go to a level 4 mission, The Assault if I recall correctly, and get webbed and scrammed. (Triggers? what are triggers? I'm in cap-stable Machariel! I am SUPER-NOOB!). My ship melted like a stick of butter in a blast furnace. In my pod I race back to the station. What happened?

Pissed off at losing half my total wealth in a couple minutes, I made myself another drink and pulled up the Combat log.
Guns? - Check 800mm AC2
Afterburner? - Check 100mn AB2
Shield Booster? - C5-M Emergency Shield Overload I -Che... um.. medium? That was supposed to be a large. Oh, they come in medium and large.

Oh look, there is the Large sitting in the hangar right now, I must have picked up that medium as loot at some point.

So of course I made a 4th drink and sold most of my assets and bought another Mach that same night.. it lasted longer though :)

I have never lost a ship because I was drunk. I did however, lose a ship because of a drunk driver. I was running a DED site in a Gila one night and a drunk driver hit the culvert in my drive way. He was doing about 70 mph went off the road in to the ditch and hit my driveway. His car went end over end and landed about 100 feet from where he made impact. When I hear the sound I ran out to his car to see if he was alive. He had a bad cut on his head and a broke arm but was ok. Forty five minutes later after dealing with police and tow trucks all over my yard I came into find my pod sitting next to my wreck.

I don't think I've ever really lost a ship to being too drunk. Like to keep a nice buzz/flow on when I do drink while playing My losses are all real.

Lots, I pretty much drink whenever I'm playing eve out of habit now so I could technically put all my losses down to drunk driving.

Last time i was really drunk and played EvE i lost my afktarin haven. Decided to loot it, bought another one and warped to that anomaly. Looted and decided to finish it. And then - another gang.
