Ok, So I'm in a proteus & running missions. I'm starting to realise how bad it is at PvE. Does anyone else here use it for PvE? If so, what are your setups. I have tried Blaster rail & drone fits.

Before you bash a ship please double check that it's not you who is bad at PVE. ;)

About Proteus, I used it to run missions for a long time and it's one of the most dependable ships I know. Brick tank, good dps, flexibility, you name it.

As to actual setup, most often I have used *railguns* (blasters have nice dps but it may be tricky to apply them properly and when facing webbers the situation tends to quickly become interesting).

Subsystems:
- Nanobot Injector
- Dissolution Sequencer
- Hybrid Propulsion Armature
- Localized Injectors
- Power Core Multiplier

Add to it at least 3 magstabs, AB, good medium armor repper, some hardeners, cap support to have about 5 minuts of everything running and you're good to go. If you still have spare slots, add TE/TC and you're golden.

Makes for a great lv3 blitzer, should compete with the tengu/mach. I've never really looked at it for other kinds of pve though.

Well for Lvl4s its most likely not great, but little is when compared to Faction BS/T2 BS as hte DPS is lacking in comparison.

For anything where Size, speed and travel is concerned its not bad.

Lvl3s, 800+ DPS @ 20Km+
DED, happily get 780DPS with 1300+ Tank VS Therm/Kin cap stable. With Covert, Nullified travel fit.
WHs, 650 PDS, 600 Tank with cap to spare and double webs for tracking sleeper frigs.

All fit sub 500mil so there is room to scale the fits up with bling.

Still got a mission proteus kicking around, kind of not flown for efficiency although it is not as poor in that regard as it may seem.

Kind of only excels in kin therm missions, two slot tank.

no need to be cap stable but can fit a cap booster if needed. Most fun is serpentis missions, blasters and dual prop (allows you to burn between spawns then switch to afterburner and keep your speed up and sig down) damping not such a factor when you have 1000dps under 5km.
