Fighter (-pilots) behavior during fight

Hello guys,
I didnt find a topic about this, in the case there is a forum for that topic - sorry in advance ;)
For me it is ok when the fighters get bigger signature or fly slower whatever you do with them but (!) what I do not like is the behavior of the fighter (-pilots). After a kill, the fighters stop. Why? A pilot would never stop his fighter during a battle. In the game they can be easily destroyed when they do not move.

Is it possible to let the fighters fly around the wreck or just straight ahead until they get a new target or order?

Very cool. Thank you very much for the hint. But it would be cool if they just keep moving instead of stopping. But this help until CCP changes it.

THeir behavior is the same as drones who also go to a dead stop after killing something. The only difference is drone have auto-attack enabled so they don't stay at a dead stop as long which mean many people don't notice the behavior.

Drones slow boat back to the owner when they are idle.

They still perform a dead stop until receiving the automatic command to return in slow mode. The fighter behaving like that would still die just like drones begin targeted when doing that die. The real thing that help drones survive is how they start orbiting something faster since they can get the next attack automatically the very next game tick. This can be achieved with fighter but you need to give the order manually.

In the Bloodlines patch in 2006 they used to attack your fleet mates. Never underestimate an AI.
