NPE day 2

So I've spent a couple days helping new players, and I see a problem with the NPE that needs to be addressed. NPE day 2.

Players come in, they do the NPE, and then we point them to the Career agents, pin a 20isk note to their chests, and wish then the best of luck.

What NPE2 needs to be is a set of refresher bits. (voice of Wheaty)

OK, you go through the first day and you're fine.

We threw a lot at you yesterday and you survived.

Fine.

Say 'apple'

(for the three of you that haven't played Portal 2,.. nvm)

This is a point where is falls apart. NPE literally throws everything but the kitchen sink at a player. In my opinion, for the first 30 days, NPE needs an NPE2 where basic game mechanics can be addressed. Things that need attention:

-How do I buy stuff?
-Where is the thing I bought?
-How do I fly without autopilot?
-What are foghorns really made of?

yeah, I am a bit islly here, but seriously. A DAY1 player is buried in new information. Retention is questionable. For the first 30 days (rookie time) they need a hole to go hide in and test stuff. I can expand on this if anybody wants to hear it.

TLDR: NPE is awesome... but there is a hole for 'day 2' when players log back in and try to remember everything we just threw at them.

I think this might get more visibility and better discussion in General Discussion or the New Players forum.
