I last played in 2010, came back to cry as I missed my raven I can't fly. I have like 98% of all alpha skills, and a ton more I can't use and can't seem to fit a caracal I feel can run 3's. I'm always like 6 powergrid over and it just sucks we only get access to lvl 1 of I think it's advanced weapon upgrades (reduce turret/launcher grid needs by 2% per lvl)

Anyone know of a good caracal fit that can run 3's? Or at least steamroll 2's until I get a gnosis? I have 725mil net worth scattered around and tons of mods so I technically could get and fit a gnosis right now, I'd just rather come back to a state of 'THIS is my starting point' and make isk running the missions and salvaging them with a dessy.

Rapid Light Launchers are great, love the 3 second firerate, but absolutely hate the 35s reload. Would heavies be better? I have the max drone skills I can have but as caldari all you really get is drones lvl 5, everything else is gimped to hell unless you're a Gallente alpha so they don't help as much as I'd like.

So much has changed in the 7 years last I played. I'd like to be a missioner, then go salvage and sell for extra profit until I can Omega, then hop into my raven and run more lucrative missions.
Just wish CCP gave alphas just a teeny weeny more skills as it would change what you can equip drastically but not to the point of it being game breaking.

Personally wish alphas got access to their factions BC's as to me, that's when the game really changed pace. I miss my Caldari Paper Machine.

Welcome back to Eve.

I understand what you're saying and coming back after 7 years I bet this game seems really different now. Alpha Clones are just an upgraded version of a trial account basically allowing players limited free access to the game. Obviously to really enjoy all that the game has to offer, players should sub into an Omega Clone, especially those who have old characters loaded with Omega skills and equipment.

Unfortunately I mainly fly Minmatar so I can't give any fitting advice for other Factions ships. I wish you lot's of luck and much success to a long rewarding career here in Eve.

Haven't played in a while, even in Alpha state but from what i remember, Minmatar got all the missile based ship options. Caldari are better suited with Moa as Alpha clones. You might want to look in to that as an option.

- Add On: I remembered why I concluded, Moa was better. Back in 10 when you played Missiles had flat damage. That got modified so they did less damage with low signature radius. The counter was to use Target Painters and Alpha Caldari aren't allowed to use Target Painters so your missile damage is going to be punked in to the ground. Minmatar were given racial target painters and can effectively use the Belliclose as an example. We got Moa.

Ask in the Missions or Ships forums.
